In OCTOBER, enjoy the OktoberFest Beer Festival. It takes place early in October every year, according to the long-standing tradition, and it's the place to enjoy all kinds (hundreds, actually) of different varieties of beers, delicious foods, and of course live entertainment! Visit www.charlotteoktoberfest.com for times and exact dates.
Also in October, enjoy the Carolina Renaissance Festival that always takes place October through the early November days and runs on the weekends. There's lots of medieval amusement - an amusement park, a nine-stage theater, a circus, arts and crafts, and an interesting "jousting" tournament! It's lots of fun and very popular! It's located at 16445 Poplar Tent Rd. in Huntersville, NC - just north of Charlotte.
And don't forget about the Latin American Festival in early October, held at the Mint Museum of Art, with lots of fun Latin festivities for children and adults alike, and of course lots of Latin food favorites to chow down on! Visit the Mint Museum website at www.mintmuseum.org.
In NOVEMBER, enjoy the Le Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Tasting Festival, that takes place in mid November where you can enjoy the uncorking of delicious and beautiful wines as well as take part in wine and cheese tastings in the evenings, as well as Harvest Day that takes place in mid November with all kinds of cultures coming together in celebration of harvesting time - it's a great place to see how all these different cultures mark the end of the growing season.
Charlotte is definitely a fun place to be in the fall of the year. With great fall festivities, you don't have to feel confined to any one activity or event because there's something happening all the time! Make this fall in Charlotte great!
