Many bars and restaurants can be found in New York City. So which one do you go to if you don't know the area? Well, heres a list of some of the top-rated ones that you can get a good meal at, or get your groove on, or find that special someone. Or all three! At the very least, you'll make some awesome memories. Check them out when you're in the city!

McSorley's Old Ale House

This bar is a beautiful Irish bar that has almost 150 years of service to be proud of. The clientle is mostly young and male, but the club is well-known and quite popular in the neighboorhood. Soho

Named after the famous book written by William Burroughs, Soho is a beautiful dance hall filled with regulars and even a celebrity or two. The bar is easy to spot, as its located right on the corner of Thompson and Grand. Soho hosts music so diversified that everyone you know will want to get in on the action! Killmeyer's

Killmeyer's is located at 4254 Arthur Kill Road on Staten Isand and is locally-famous for it's wonderful German cooking The club has been around for quite awile, having been open since 1890, and you can sit at the original mahogany bar. Try some of the authentic German dishes, such as veal shanks, saurbraten, and much more to please your palete. The beer is said to be "kaiser", and you can drink from mini kegs full of Kostritzer, Schwarzbier or any of the other many beer that Killmeyer's offers. To get there, hop on the Staten Island Ferry, and tthen take Bus S74 to Sharrotts Road.

Whiskey Blue

Whiskey Blue handles a major amount of people, from models, to entertainers, to locals, to tourists. Well, just about to anyone! The decor is said to be elegant yet cozy, with couches and a few select velvet lounge chairs.
