Best Bars in Eugene, Oregon
There are several bars near the University of Oregon campus, but Rennie's Landing stands out above the rest. Near Autzen Stadium, the Oregon Ducks football team's home field, are popular sports bars The Cooler and The O-Bar & Grill.
Each of these bars has a unique feel and atmosphere, but all three have good food and great local beers on tap.
Rennie's Landing Restaurant and Bar
Rennie's has been a popular hangout on the edge of the University of Oregon campus since 1981 and has even inspired a movie title (the 2001 film "Stealing Time" was originally named "Rennie's Landing" because the bar was a favorite haunt of the movie's co-writer, former University of Oregon student Michael Garrity). Rennie's has 12 beers on tap, including beer from Oregon breweries such as Widmer Brothers, Deschutes and Ninkasi. Rennie's is a two-story building with a bar on each floor and a covered outdoor deck. There are HD TVs and pool tables downstairs, and Rennie's serves breakfast every day and has a full lunch and dinner menu, as well.

The O-Bar & Grill
The O-Bar has walls that are decked with University of Oregon sports memorabilia and is located within walking distance to Autzen Stadium, making it the perfect place to watch a game or to relax after the big game. The O-Bar has a pool table, video poker machines in the back, a large, heated outdoor patio and 13 TVs that display a variety of sports events. The bar offers a full lunch and dinner menu with daily specials, happy hour drink specials on weekdays and karaoke on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The Cooler Restaurant & Bar
The Cooler has been serving Eugene sports fans since 1967. The bar features a 15-foot projection screen and several smaller TVs, as well as pool tables and couches. The Cooler is often the host site of weekly talk radio shows featuring University of Oregon coaches and athletes, and also holds pool tournaments. The Cooler opens at 6 a.m. every day and offers a full menu for lunch and dinner, with daily specials and happy hour drink deals.
