Best Bars in Saratoga Springs, NY

When looking for night life in Saratoga Springs you will be faced with many choices. Try out the local home town favorite, the sports bar, or one of the many upscale establishments throughout town. My three favorite bars in the area are; Saratoga City Tavern, Gaffney's, and Brindisi's Restaurant. Whenever I head to either the Tavern or to Gaffney's I plan on spending the night between the two. It is easy to go back and forth since the two bars are across the street from one another.

This newly renovated bar located just off of Broadway, on Caroline Street, offers four floors of entertainment. When you walk into the tavern you are greeted by a spacious bar and a friendly staff. One floor offers dancing, another floor has tables for lounging, and of course you always have the option of choosing the roof top deck. The private rooftop deck offers a great view of the night life of Saratoga below. Sip your drink as you are seated amongst private tables under the twinkle of the lights.

The Saratoga City Tavern has a laid back atmosphere and friendly vibe. Live entertainment is offered on select nights so be sure to pick up a schedule. Lots of "tavern fare" is on the menu; cheeseburgers, pizza, wings, and salads. There is an assortment of drinks to choose from. Due to the location and spaciousness of this bar it is a great place to host a private event.

Gaffney's is a trendy bar. Many people enjoy Gaffney's after they have finished work for the day. However, unwinding outside on the patio makes for a very relaxed atmosphere. This bar is open year round; although my favorite time to spend at Gaffney's is during the summer months. You can dine outside on the garden patio and enjoy your drink under the night sky. Live entertainment can be heard on a nightly basis throughout the summer months.

Gaffney's offers a large variety food. Everything from chicken ceasaer salad to the all American cheeseburger. You can chose to eat indoors at the garden bar or on the outdoor patio. Be sure to check out one of their specialty drinks.

If you are in the mood for an impressive menu with first class food and drinks then head over to Brindisi's Restaurant located right in downtown Saratoga. Here you will find your favorite buffet, plated meals, or a great martini. Voted by the Saratogian Readers Choice Awards, Brindisi's Restaurant has won in three categories; Best Date Night 2007, Best Bartender 2007, and Best Burger 2008, 2009. When you enter Brindisi's you are greeted with a vibe of New York City and transported back to the 1930's.

Open daily; Brindisi's Restaurants offers superb meals and a of a kind bar experience every day of the week. This is a great place to meet co-workers after work or to enjoy with your date.
