If you live in or around Hoboken, New Jersey, during the football season, you are in for a real treat. There is certainly no shortage of sports bars in which to kick back on a Sunday afternoon and watch your team kick hell out of another. We're talking large screen televisions with stereo surround sound, NFL Sunday Ticket with every game from around the League. And great drink and food deals to boot. Here are the best local bars to watch football at in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Black Bear on Washington Street in Hoboken is arguably the best local bar to watch football at in Hoboken. Two floors, each with their own bar and tables, make up this well-known Hoboken landmark. On Sunday afternoons, the Black Bear is packed with people from northern New Jersey, and for good reason. They offer some of the best Buffalo wings in all of the square mile city. Arrive early to get a prime position, and be sure not to abandon your seat. Black Bear offers a fun, energetic atmosphere, as well as great service and very reasonable prices. Black Bear is also a great local bar to watch football at on Monday night.

Speaking of Buffalo wings, one little known hangout in Hoboken, New Jersey, is Rogo's. Located at 734 Willow Avenue, Rogo's is a no-frills bar and grill with magnificent drink specials. For some no-nonsense sports, no bar in Hoboken beats Rogo's. The bartenders are cool, and you cannot beat the prices on the beer, spirits, or the food. Check out Rogo's early on a Sunday afternoon to get a good seat at the rail.

Just across from the Hoboken PATH station, you will find Texas-Arizona, one of the best local bars to watch football at. Texas-Arizona offers just about every game, and they have a wide food and drink selection as well. Service can be a bit slow, depending on how busy they are. Bartenders and wait staff are generally less attentive than at some of the other Hoboken joints. Arrive early and get a good seat at the bar to avoid any hassle. Texas-Arizona offers a tremendous variety of beers from around the world.

Around the corner is Hobson's Choice. Hobson's is a great place to watch football at during the warmer months when the floor-to-ceiling windows are open. Otherwise, it's a bit dreary. So, head over to Hobson's Choice for some Sunday games in September.
