I am a native Floridan and have been to nearly ever beach in Florida. I have made a list of the top 5 beaches in Florida. The beaches are in no particular order since they are all spectacular.

1. Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach is often called the "The World's Most Famous Beach". Daytona has beautiful white sandy beaches. One thing that sets Daytona beach apart is the fact in certain area you can drive your vehicle on the beach. Daytona Beach was once thought of as a place for college kids to party but, this is no longer the case. Daytona Beach is a true family destination. Daytona is also home to NASCAR races at the Daytona Speedway. 2. Naples and Marco Island beaches
Naples and Marco Island are known as the "Paradise Coast". Both Naples and Marco Island have gorgeous sugar sand beaches. The beaches are on the West Coast of Florida and sit on the Gulf of Mexico. The waters are always much calmer here making them ideal for families. Naples Beach was ranked in the top 10 of all beaches in the US by National Geographic Traveler magazine. 3. Miami Beach and South Beach
Miami Beach and South Beach are world famous for the beautiful beach and the great nightlife. You can enjoy a full day people watching on South Beach. The restaurants alongside the beach offer great food at great prices. Miami offers many free activities for families. 4. Panama City beaches
Panama City beaches are known as "The Beach Lovers Beach". The sand is white and the waters are usually very calm. Is you enjoy collecting shells you will find many here to take home. While visiting Panama City beaches, you may spot a wild dolphin swimming in the blue waters. You will easily be entertained in Panama city by all of the fun activities. 5. Cocoa Beach
Cocoa Beach is a perfect place to get away. Many people come to Cocoa Beach to surf and enjoy water sports. If that is not your idea of fun, you can spend the day basking in the sun or collecting shells. You can also visit the legendary Ron Jon Surf Shop while you are there. Cocoa beach is on Florida's East Coast about an hour from Orlando. Be sure to visit Kennedy Space Center while you are in town. The Space museum is fascinating. If you plan your visit right, you may get to watch a space shuttle take off. There is nothing quite like sitting on the beach and watching the space shuttle fly overhead.     Thanks for the article. I hurt my knee swimming in Florida when a wave hit me wrong. Bad state! Pretty beaches in Florida though.
