A great park to go to no matter what your taste is. They have many things that you can do while here. There is something for every one to do on their 4,481 acre's. Biking on a paved eight and one half mile trail. There are some rolling terrains and a few steep hills. They are circle Kent lake. There are 10 ramps located at the East boat launch, and six ramps at the West boat launch which gives quick access to Kent Lake. You can also rent Paddle boats, kayaks and rowboats at this wonderful park. You do need to have a drivers license. Some of the many other things you can do here are swim, play in the sand, disc golf, fishing, golf on the 18 hole golf course, hiking, horseback riding if you own a horse, ice skating in the winter months, picnicking and many other things. My kids love coming to this park. There are many places located around the beach that have play areas for the children. Lots of open space for a fun game with the kids. You will spend all day here and still want to come back for more.

Another great park that the kids will love along with the adults. This beautiful park offers a one mile shoreline and a 1,600 foot boardwalk on pictureque Lake St. Clair. In the activity center your kids can do many dance programs and concerts. Take a bike ride along the two mile flat paved trail leads through the park. One of Michigan's top 10 birding sites in Michigan. Metro beach is host to a variety of birds during spring and fall migration. You can see warblers, waterfowl and many hummingbirds. There are 4 tennis courts and 20 shuffleboard courts along with three sand volleyball courts. There are eight boating ramps located near the North Marina. Some other things available here are fishing, fitness trail, golf with 18 holes and a par 3, nature center, picnicking, spray park, swimming and have a ride on the trackless train. You will have many things to do here.

This park is nearly 190 acres which are divided by Westnedge Avenue into two distinct areas. This park is widely known for their most handicap accessible parks in the region. They offer outdoor experiences found nowhere else in the area. They offer two ball field, 38 camping sites, Fishing, hiking, picnic shelters and swimming. Their camping facilities offer full hook-ups, electric, water and sewer and there is an RV dump station. Restroom with showers is available and is also handicapped accessible. All sites also have a cement pad, a picnic table and a fire ring.

Hi Brandi. I may be a little bias but my favorite is Pere Marquette in Muskegon, or the beach in Grand Haven. I believe Pere Marquette has won an award for being one of the cleanest and we also have a doggie beach. I know we are the west side of the state and you could only covery so many beaches. Thanks
