1)The Millons- This is my favorite book blog. It is a tremendous resource for readers. From news about your favorite authors, to reviews of their work, to analysis of their collected works, The Millions is your one-stop source for in-depth readings.
2)Blog of a Bookslut- An extension of the online magazine Bookslut, this book blog is second only to The Millions in its variety of book news. Its daily updates include news about big name releases and those from independent presses. A must read.
3)Critical Mass- Critical Mass is written by professional book reviewers. Rather than review books, they give us book news that they, as professionals, get to hear. Occassionally, this book blog is able to give away books to its readers.
4)Baby Got Books- Reviews and commentary by thirty-something readers who were tired of not knowing about the year's big releases. Great reviews and a great sense of humor.
5)The Elegant Variation-News and commentary in this book blog are pretty decent, and what I really love is their list of recommendations. Each of the books I read from the list is a little better than the last.
