Are you searching the market for a new cell phone? This article examines ten cell phones on the current market. Most carriers even offer free cell phones. New or discounted cell phones usually come with an extended contract. But, are they what fits your need?

1. Nokia Surge
This phone provides the opportunity to surf the web. However, it takes some practice to figure out how to make a simple phone call. This phone packs a lot of features for a very small price. Features include a full HTML browser, Email through the MS exchange, a no flash camera and FM and XM radio access. Prices start at $29.99.

2. Sony Ericcson W518a
It features the Bluetooth stereo and 3G and GPS capabilities. This phone includes a full functional Walkman digital music player. The player can be controlled by an external and internal dual screens. Prices vary with discounts available and contracts.

3. Nokia 6350
It has dual LCD screens. It is also featuring a very durable design. Other features include 2.0 megapixel camera, video recording is also available, vido share feature and a bit larger key pads. You can also add a bluetooth headset. Prices begin at $29.99

4. Samsung Reclaim
The Reclaim is an Eco-friendly, socially savvy networking cell phone. It is made up of 80 percent recycled materials. Green in color this is a one click accessible phone. Features include a GPS, sliding keyboard, camera and recorder. Prices start at $79.99.

5. Pantech Impact
The Impact has been around a few years. It was introduced by AT&T. It has a sensitive touchpad screen. The touch screen is larger for easier texting. Pricing begins at $89.99 on a two year contract.

6. Samsung Intensity
The Intensity features infrared camera, music player, Eco-friendly social networking cell phone. It has a slide out keyboard. It is Verizon carried. Prices begin at $150.

7. Motorola Entice
The features on the entice includes a new look. It has smoother rounded edges, the front flip is black with silver accents and the battery cover has a smoother softer touch. The Bluetooth on and off, set the phone to vibrate, and access the music player with play/pause, rewind and fast-forward. It has a better entry for phone calls while having the basic cell phone features. Prices begin at $130. Verizon is also it's carrier.

8. Samsung Flight
The Flight is a lightweight phone that is very inexpensive. It has a nice keypad, but needs a wire to be connected to your computer. You need a special cord. It also has many Internet apps. the price varies, but it is a low cost phone.

9. Samsung Jitterbug
The Jitterbug price begins at $99. It has a large keypad, great speakers, easy to use for text messaging and Bluetooth caller ID and Speakerphone enabled.

10. Pantech Slate
Released by AT&T, it is the thinnest cell phone on the market with a QWERTY keypad. It has a 2.2 inch LCD screen for viewing. Prices start at $69.

When purchasing any cell phone, always read and understand the small print. contracts can be expensive.

    Gee, my idea of budget-friendly is my little prepaid model. I can't surf the Internet, take pictures, or play music. But, it's a telephone: it lets me make and receive telephone calls.
