Best Burger Joints in Danville, PA

BJ's, Old Forge and LT Evans

Ranee Wright
Danville, PA has three restaurants that are considered the best burger joints in town. If you are looking for the largest burger around, Old Forge Brewing Company is the place to go. BJ's Steak and Ribs and LT Evans are also great places to eat a delicious burger.

Old Forge Brewing Company is located at 282 Mill Street in Danville, PA. They are open Tuesday through Thursday 11 am to 10 pm and Friday, Saturday 11 am to 12 am. There is a bar and wooden booths upstairs and downstairs. The brewery has reasonable prices. They offer free wi-fi, outdoor dining and live entertainment.

On the menu at the Old Forge Brewery is a half pound burger called The Purist. That is one gigantic burger! Other menu options include appetizers, salads, soups, cold and hot sandwiches. If your lunch or dinner date does not want a burger, I recommend the Spinach Tomato Dip appetizer and Chicken Satay Wrap.

Old Forge Brewing Company has the freshest brew in Danville to go with your burger. I recommend fresh brews like the dark Slack Tub Stout or the light Celestial Blonde. Their homemade beer is brewed at the restaurant on Mondays.

LT Evans is located north of downtown, off Route 11, at 334 Walnut Street in Danville, PA. They are open 7 day a week 10:30 am until midnight. This restaurant is locally owned and does not have a website. Their phone number is (570) 275-1310. The owner is often there to make sure his customers are satisfied. There is a bar area with a large flat screen TV, two dining areas and outdoor seating. LT Evans is great for family dining and they have daily and nightly specials.

There is a variety of foods on the menu to choose from that are reasonably priced. LT Evans offers a variety of burger choices that come with fresh cut potato fries. Other menu options include a plethora of different wings. I had the hottest wings ever (habanero) at LT's. They also serve a variety of salads, soups, appetizers, seafood, steak, prime rib, hot and cold sandwiches, wines, cocktails and beer.

BJ's Steak and Ribs is located at 291 Mill Street in downtown Danville, PA. They are open Sunday through Thursday 11 am to 12 am and Friday, Saturday 11pm to 2 am. BJ's is a bit pricier than Old Forge and LT Evans. BJ's also has a more formal atmosphere. There is a bar, booths and tables that have a lovely shalack finish.

BJ's Steak and Ribs serve fresh cut french fries and coleslaw with their seven burgers to choose from. Other items on the menu are of course, steak and ribs. Their steak is premium Angus beef and their baby-back ribs are hickory smoked. They also serve a variety of salads, soups, appetizers, entrees, hot and cold sandwiches, wines, cocktails and beer.
