Doe's Eat Place, Ringo Drive- Doe's is known internationally for their stadium-seat sized steaks and hand made tamales, but locals know that at lunch, Doe's serves up one of the best hamburgers in town. Charred on the grill an topped with your choice of vegetables, the hamburger at Doe's is just what a burger should be: meaty, juicy and slightly greasy. It is served with a side of thick cut french fries, all for $4.75
Purple Cow, Financial Center Parkway and Cantrell- The Purple Cow is always packed at lunch time, and the great burgers are one of the reasons why. A thick, juicy patty is nestled on a toasted bun. All condiments are served on the side. The burgers at the Purple Cow are lean and moist, with almost no visible grease. In addition to the classic burger, the Purple Cow offers several variations, including the Herbed Butter Burger, the Bleu Cheese Burger, the Five Alarm Burger and the Turkey Burger. All burgers come with a pickle spear and chips, although fries can be substituted for an additional $1.50.
Black Angus, Rodney Parham Road- Black Angus is located in the parking lot of an old K-Mart store, which should tell you a lot about how seriously the owners take themselves. The décor is spartan, there are no printed menus, just a white menu board, and no waiters. This is all self-serve. Instead of concentrating on such niceties Black Angus focuses on food. With a name like Black Angus, you know they mean business when it comes to beef. There burgers are living proof. The hamburgers are chargrilled, topped with fresh vegetables and skewered with a toothpick, the way they used to be. The burger is full of smoky flavor and comes in a basket with fries and a drink.
Cotham's in the City, West 3rd- You can't mention Little Rock burgers without mentioning Cotham's. Cothams's is home to the famous "Hubcap" burger. The Hubcap is a plate sized, greasy monster of a burger. It is available with hand made onion rings or fries. It is more than enough for two people to share, but many people take special pride in trying to finish the whole thing.

Post a CommentI've eaten at Dows but always in the evening, so I've never tried their burgers although I've heard they are very good. Purple cow has some very tasty burgers. I'm actually going to black angus today, so I might be trying one of their burgers. But I'd have to say that Cothams hub cap burger is the best. you can acutally eat half and save the other half for later. Great review!!!!!
