Best Burgers in Midland, TX

While trying to figure out what I wanted for lunch one day, I suddenly had a craving for In-N-Out Burger. I could just taste the secret sauce of my double double. Reality hit as I realized this fantasy could only remain a dream since I was in Midland and the closest In-N-Out Burger was four states away.

But why must I drive across the country when Midland offers such a good selection of burgers that would more than satisfy my craving?

Bob's Better Burger

Voted for years as Midland's Best Place to Get a Burger, Bob's is a personal and local favorite. From the outside, it doesn't look shiny and new like its competitors, but what counts is the product that they serve up daily. Never overly greasy or overcooked, their burgers and fries are always done just right. Set up as a drive-in and go, as opposed to dine in, Bob's is nostalgic of days past. Reasonably priced, it is difficult to top their cheeseburgers or jalapeno burgers.

Fuddruckers

Even though I may be the only one who thinks that Fuddruckers has tweaked their recipe since I was a kid, their burgers are still some of the best. The build-your-own-burger concept is basically the most appealing aspect of this burger chain. I don't have to ask them to make my burger "plain with pickles" or scrape out all of the onions. I can pile on my favorite condiments and slather my burger in their melted jalapeno cheese. Not only are the burgers cooked to order, but they are also served with seasoned wedged potatoes. I also have to note that Fuddruckers also offers hot dogs and amazing cookies.

Michael's Charcoal Grill

Michael's is known for its King Kong burger and the name is very fitting. It is a King Kong sized burger fresh off the grill. They always have great food, service and a very relaxed-airplane themed atmosphere. The airplane models and photos provide great conversation pieces with the great food. This high-flying restaurant is also known for their veggie burgers, delicious wings and quality BBQ. Michael's is definitely a must if you are in Midland.
