The Mr. Men Little Miss Match-Up Game by Peaceable Kingdom Press is a one player or multiple player card game for children two years to six years old. The Mr. Men Little Miss Match-Up Game is a simple matching game featuring some of my favorite Mr. Men and Little Miss characters. The Mr. Men and Little Miss cards are heavy cardboard and come in a sturdy, colorful box. Play this game with young children to help improve memory by matching Mr. Strong, Mr. Tickle, Mr. Bump, Little Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Giggles, Mr. Messy, and Little Miss Chatterbox. The Mr. Men and Little Miss matching game takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

Go Fish Alphabet is an alphabet go fish game that can be purchased in many discount stores for $3. The Go Fish Alphabet go-fish game is great for families with young children. Adult animals represent the upper-case letters and baby animals represent the lower-case letters. Aside from a few anomalies, the Alphabet Go Fish cards are interesting and help teach children the adult names and child names for animals. This go-fish game takes between 10 and 20 minutes to complete.

Board Games for Family Game Night

I Spy Eagle Eye by Scholastic is a short and entertaining family board game. The I Spy Eagle Eye board game comes with several game boards filled with images and a hand bell. The object of the pattern finding game is to match an image displayed on a card with an image on the players' game board. Once a player finds a matching image they ring the bell, get a point, and a new card is displayed. Although the bell can be annoying it seems to keep my child engaged.

Reinhard Staupe's Sherlock Deluxe by PLAYROOM entertainment has an interesting twist that ranks it higher than other memory games. This family game is for two to five players and for the age group, children five years and older to adult. Place eight cards with images and arrows in a circle around the pile of cards. One player puts the Sherlock figurine in front of a card. Another player tries to remember that card, along with the cards that are being pointed to by the face-up cards. When a player remembers enough cards and lands on a face-up card, that player gets that card after which another card is added to the circle. When one person has six cards they win and the game is over. This family memory games takes around 15 minutes to complete.

Sounds good to me at 50! Glad you get the Mr Men and Little Miss stuff over there. I'm most like Mr. Grumpy.
