Hiro Nakamura is the controlling force in the show as he learns to use his powers of time manipulation to save the cheerleader and save the world. Fans of this television show have been debating which character has the best power on message boards across the internet. They are overlooking the other dynamics in the characters that make them great. Hiro brings a comedic element to the show that the other over dramatized story lines lack. His simple sentence structures, sidekick and subtitles help fans of all ages relate to his part in the show. He is also the only hero with his own blog on the NBC website ( http://blog.nbc.com/hiro_blog/ ) which only helps fuel a large fan base. He is also the only hero that has had a true love story when he meet a young waitress who had an incredible memory. Sadly he lost her when she was murdered and went back in time to try to save her from her untimely death. When he does this she reveals to him that she has a blood clot in her brain and will die no matter what happens in the future. His ability to connect with the television viewers makes him the best character on the show.

This character played by the talented writer, actor and digital effects artist Masi Oka. If you look at his long list of accomplishments it's no wonder why he has the best character on the show. He was even nominated for a golden globe award as the best supporting role in 2006 for a golden globe award. He's guest starred on Dharma & Greg, Gilmore Girls, Yes Dear, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Scrubs, Still Standing, Reba, Without a Trace, All of Us, Joey and Will and Grace. He's had smaller movie roles in his acting career, he also has an impressive amount of digital effect artistry under his belt. You may have enjoyed his work with out even realizing it since he worked on the recent star wars films and pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Heroes will return in three weeks on April 23rd 2007 according to the spoilers Hiro will have a face to face with his future self. The downside to the future Hiro is that the comedic element seems to have faded away. His English has improved and he has been hardened by the trials he has faced in his quest to complete his mission to become a hero.
