Best Children's Physical Education Class Around and at a Very Affordable Price

Princess Anne Recreation is a fantastic recreation center located in southern Virginia Beach. While all of its many programs are excellent, one stands out in my book! Parents, take note - if you are paying high prices for children's classes at one of the many private kids' gyms that have sprung up in Virginia Beach, take a look at the very affordable Pat at the Hat program for boys and girls ages 3-5 at the Princess Anne Recreation Center. It may just be the best class your preschooler will take!

The Pat in the Hat program is a twice-weekly hour-long class for 3-5 year-olds. Each class features a variety of activities aimed at getting the kids moving in a fun way! Activities might include scooting around on rolling platforms, playing tug-of-war, completing fun obstacle courses, playing with the parachute, playing golf, kicking around the soccer ball, playing tag, playing with beach balls, playing with hula hoops, playing duck-duck-goose - I can't even begin to mention all of the many activities that the outstanding instructional staff prepares for each class.

There is never a dull moment in Pat in the Hat! The activities are varied, not just within the hour but from class to class, and just long enough to be a good workout but short enough that the kids don't lose their concentration. The instructors do a great job of teaching the rules not only of the games but also of good sportsmanship. They promote good health and exercise to the children in a fun, positive way! As a teacher, I was always amazed at their ability to keep a large group of preschoolers on task and at their smooth transitioning from one activity to the next!

There are always several instructors and assistants in the gym with the children at any given time. They are extremely personable and really have a way with the kids! They even allow us parents with little ones to sit in the gym and observe if we wish. Many moms and dads also take a break and get a workout in for themselves or entertain their infants in other parts of the gym. You don't feel the least bit nervous leaving your kids with the Pat in the Hat staff, because they exhibit such professionalism and dedication to the kids that you know they are in good hands.

My son literally cried when his time at Pat in the Hat was over. He made some great friends there and thoroughly enjoyed each and every class! Now I'm just waiting for my daughter to turn 3 so that she can join this great program! Pat in the Hat is currently held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:30 am at the Princess Anne Recreation Center. The cost is only $5 per class! Check it out!
