Best Chinese Food in Fresno for Taste & Value

I've lived in Fresno, CA for almost 27 years, and have never been able to find a really great Chinese Restaurant until recently. Joy Luck Chinese Cuisine is by far the best Chinese Restaurant in the Fresno Area. It is located at 7899 N. Blackstone in the same shopping center as Barnes & Noble across from the River Park Shopping Center. Joy Luck offers a wide variety of menu options and also offers dinner and lunch specials daily. You can also order to-go items and there is even a banquet area for large parties.

The value of the food is top notch. I usually order the Lunch Special #1 which costs $6.99. This includes the soup of the day, a generous helping of Pork Chow Mien, Pork Fried Rice, and a Teriyaki Chicken Skewer. This lunch plate could easily feed two people. I usually eat what I can, and take the rest of the meal home for dinner.

This restaurant is also listed in The Fresno-Visalia edition of The Entertainment Book. The coupon allows for one complimentary entree when a second entree of equal or lesser value is purchased (up to a $15 value). This is a great coupon. My husband, son, and I ate at Joy Luck with this coupon for about $12 one evening. That price included two soft drinks, but did not include the tip. That was one of the least expensive meals we've ever eaten at a restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious.

One thing I love about Joy Luck is that you don't walk away hungry or feel hungry shortly after like with most Chinese Restaurants. The food is excellent and the service is great as well. I make it a point to eat there at least once a week, and it has quickly become my favorite restaurant.
