Best Christmas Commercials Ever!

Mike C.
Now, I know Christmas can't be compared to the Superbowl, but I love watching all the sweet Christmas commercials televised during the Holidays! They are some of the most heart-warming, creative commercials aired. Here are my top 5 all-time favorites. I have also included links to videos of these commercials so you can see them too.

(1) Hershey's Kisses Christmas

I am in the kitchen cooking dinner when I hear what sounds like bells playing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." When I look up, I see that the bells are actually silver, green, and red Hershey's Kisses placed in a Christmas tree shape. Each one mimics the ringing of a hand bell and together they play the Christmas tune that will leave you wanting to sing along.

(2) Coca Cola - Holidays Are Coming

This is the best Coca Cola commercial ever made - ever! A long line of big red Coke delivery trucks completely outlined in white lights are driving through the dark countryside. The song "Holidays are Coming" is played in the background throughout the entire commercial. As the trucks pass by children and homes, lights on bushes and shrubs and houses light up. They cross over a bridge and lights on the bridge turn on. A father and son are amazed by the glowing lights, and as they wait for the last truck to go by, they see an animated Santa Claus on its back door drinking a Coke.

(3) M&Ms

This particular M&M commercial is short but cute. It always makes me laugh year after year. The red and yellow M&M are walking through their house with a bowl of M&Ms to leave for Santa. They get to the living room and there is Santa himself about to leave presents. The M&Ms are shocked that Santa really exists. Then, Santa is just as shocked to see that there really are these two big M&Ms that walk, talk, etc! Once Santa says "They do exist!" he passes out on the floor.

(4) Fruity Pebbles / Flinstones

Are Fruity Pebbles not a popular cereal anymore? This commercial used to air all the time, and Barney's "Ho, ho, ho, I'm hu-hu-hungry" line always got stuck in my head for hours after hearing it. At Fred's house, Santa came down the chimney and he gave him Fruity Pebbles to eat. Then, Barney goes down Fred's chimney dressed as Santa to get some cereal too. Barney is upset that Santa is eating the Fruity Pebbles, and Santa tells them it's nice to share. Fred and Barney enjoy a bowl of Fruity Pebbles together and Santa flies off in his sleigh.

(5) Coca Cola Polar Bears

This is by far my most favorite commercial for being simply adorable! Two baby polar bears are trying to push and pull a Christmas tree up a hill. One of them slips and slides all the way down the snow and stops at his parent's feet. They all try to get the tree up the hill together, with that young bear helping push the parent's behind. This part is so cute. Once the task is complete, they enjoy a refreshing Coke.

Another Coke Polar Bear commercial that tops my favorites list is the one where polar bears are watching a group of partying penguins from atop a hill. One young polar bear slips and slides down the hill and lands right in the middle of the penguins. The music and dancing stops. Everyone freezes. A young penguin peeps around a bigger penguin and gives the polar bear a Coke. Smiles start the party up again with the penguins and the polar bears.
