Best Christmas Gifts of 2007

I was absolutely thrilled with everything I received this Christmas!

My most favorite gift this Christmas was from my husband. The Sony ICF-CDK70 AM/FM CD Changer Kitchen Clock Radio is an excellent addition to our home. For the better part of 12 years, I have wanted to have, at the very least, a radio in the kitchen. Our counter space is limited, so I wanted one that would mount under the cabinet. We have a portable CD/radio player, but my children often commandeered it for themselves and I never knew where it was in the house. This one is permanently attached to the cabinet, so I no longer have to search for one to use. I can listen to any one of my three favorite CD's with a push of a button. I can also listen to all of my favorite radio stations. My kitchen timer has been on the fritz forever and this Sony model has a timer built in! The sound is fantastic! I have had it on almost every day since Christmas.

I also received a great pair of athletic shoes! The Nike Air Alvord V - perfect for running or walking. Many other brands of shoes make my feet hurt for some reason. I have often used that as an excuse not to exercise. I have found this Nike style to be extremely supportive and comfortable, so in a way, they are an encouragement to me to get back into shape! Not only are they comfortable, they are pretty too! They are gray and black with accents of pink, which fits me to a tee.

My daughter's gifts are also key to helping me get back into shape. A pair of very comfortable and great-sounding earphones and a set of movies to watch while I walk on the treadmill rounded out my "encouragement" package! I am grateful for each one!

My husband and family couldn't have made me happier with their choices for me this year! I look forward to enjoying my favorite music, exercising regularly, and having delicious meals (since I now have a timer that works!). Recently, I borrowed a CD from the library called Three Wooden Crosses: 17 Inspirational Songs From Today's Top Country Artists. I fell in love with all of the songs, so when my sister asked me what I wanted for Christmas, this was one of my top items. She graciously indulged me and I now enjoy these inspiring songs at my leisure.
