Best Christmas Gifts for Coffee Lovers

Michelle K. Miller
As Christmas nears, you're thinking of the perfect gifts for all your friends and family members. Chances are, there's someone on your list that really enjoys coffee. These gift ideas will leave the connoisseurs of a cup o' Joe, really happy.

1. Pre-packaged gift assortments. Usually around the holidays, department stores put out gift assortments, compiling things that go well together. For the coffee lover, places like Wal-Mart and Target have samplers of coffee, especially of Starbucks fame, with other items included, such as assorted coffees and biscotti. These gift assortments can be found online and in-store (availability will vary by location.)

2. Make your own gift basket or bags. For the creative spirit, instead of purchasing pre-packaged gift assortments, you can make your own, in baskets or gift bags. These can be relatively inexpensive. Just obtain a basket or bag and items to decorate it however you please. Then, purchase miniature bags of assorted flavored coffees, as well as powdered creamers to place in it. Add a sweet touch by adding cookies or biscotti that would taste good with the different coffees.

3. Personalized gift coffee mugs. For a modest gift for a coffee lover, a personalized coffee mug will do. Websites like Gift Mugs can print on mugs, anything from names and dates, to photos. Depending on where you live, there are some photo centers that can do the same. If you're not up to purchasing online, you can buy your own plain-colored coffee mug, and decorate it yourself with permanent markers.

4. A subscription to a coffee-of-the-month club. If you want your favorite coffee lover to enjoy coffee all 12 months of the year, buy them a subscription to a coffee-of-the-month club, like Boca Java, Your friend or family member will think of you everytime their coffee arrives and they have a delicious cup. It's the gift that keeps giving!

5. An espresso machine. If you're looking for a more pricey or upscale gift, an espresso machine is a perfect gift. Sure, nice, fancy, complicated machines can cost a pretty penny. However, places like Target have some simple ones from $39.99. It's the perfect gift for a coffee lover who spends a small fortune at Starbucks every week. The recipient of this machine can invest in bags of their own coffee at the market, and make delicious lattes right at home!

6. A coffee grinder. Even though markets sell whole beans in the store, and you can grind them there, buying beans and grinding them per use at home means extremely fresh coffee daily. Target has them from $14.99.

From pricey to modest, there's a gift for every coffee lover that fits every budget!
