Electronics: Electronics is the name of the game! During the difficult years of high school, it's usually the electronic gadgets that get students thru the year. Want to know the best gadgets? Stick to getting cell phones, organizers and digital cameras if you can. However, if you price range is a little bigger, go for the laptops or pricey IPods. If the high school student already has a cell phone, try purchasing accessories for the phone such as cases, Bluetooth's, headphones or chargers. If the student is into music, stick to the mp3 players as well as portable CD players.
Video Games: Video games are what high school students live for! Start off by looking at all the popular game systems such as Playstation 3, Xbox as well as the Dreamcast. These video game consoles have a wide selection of games to choose from, so choose wisely. Find the type of game/s the student is into and stick to that genre. If the student like action games, search all of the top action games or game within your budget. Also look at the extended selection of video game console add-on's such a controllers, memory cards etc.
Jewelry: What high school teenager doesn't love jewelry? Whether it is a simple chain or necklace or a shiny watch, they are sure to love it. Make sure if you're going to buy jewelry that you pay special attention to the themes your gift recipient/s love. This can mean hearts, an initial, characters or animals, know what they like!
Clothes and Shoes: These two things can go together when it comes to buying a Christmas present for a high school student. High school students are "obsessed" with fashion! They always want to have the new and latest gear whether it is clothing or shoes. Stick to name brands! Know the name brand that your gift recipient/s likes so you can adapt to their brand of clothing. As long as you have the brand right, you can't go wrong with shoes or clothes.
Vehicle: This is for the extra big spender! If you have it to spend, buy them a car or truck! Most of the times during the holiday season this idea will seem a little out of place, however; if you have big dollars, go the extra mile and purchase them the car of their choice. If you can't afford the car of their choice right away, settle for something a little bit simpler. This is sure to be the highlight of any high school students' Christmas, watch the expression on their face when you unveil the new "ride".
