Best Christmas Gifts for Music Lovers

Newbury Comics is a Great Place to Start

JBC
Sometimes buying Christmas gifts for a person whose interests are very narrow, but this guide is here to help. For the music-lover in your life, Newbury Comics is your best bet. It has a deceiving name, as it is now more a music store than a comic store. It also focuses on memorabilia of all kinds. For this reason, it is the perfect one-stop shop when Christmas shopping for someone who eats, drinks, and sleeps music.

1.) CDs

If you know their favorite bands, you can easily find the music lover in your life a few CD. There is a great selection of both new and used CDs, and all the major genres (as well as some of the minor ones) are represented here. If you're looking for a really rare CD, however, be warned: you are unlikely to find one here.

2.) T-Shirts

Everyone likes to show off that the band they like is cooler than the one you like, and the easiest way to do this is with a t-shirt. Some people just like to show support, which is another reason to get a t-shirt as a gift. There is a great selection here, and there are even some funny shirts if you can't find the band you're looking for.

3.) Memorabilia

I bought a set of four glasses here, and each had a different Beatles album cover on it. I thought this was an incredibly cool idea, and apparently many people did, because now there are a great deal more bands to choose from. I even found a glass with the Blue Note Logo on it. (Blue Note is one of the top jazz record labels around.) There are also concert posters, as well as regular posters, galore.

4.) DVDs

Every music lover also loves DVDs, be it of their favorite band or simply a movie. Newbury Comics has a generous selection of both used and new DVDs, and the selection is well-above par.

5.) Vinyl

Vinyl is coming back, and many bands are now releasing their albums on vinyl in addition to online and on CD. There is a fairly good selection, ranging from techno to rock to hip-hop. Again, if you're looking for something rare though, I suggest going to a specialty record shop.

There you have it, 5 gifts that are perfect for the music lover, and where to buy them.

Happy Holidays, and Happy Holiday Shopping!
