Best Christmas Light Displays in St. Charles, Missouri

It's that magical time of year again, when the city is sparkling with holiday lights. The City of St. Charles, Missouri is no exception, and a great place to bring the family and cruise around looking at light displays. From massive displays with hundreds of thousands of lights, to more modest displays in front yards that return yearly to whet your appetite for that holiday spirit, there is something for every family.

One of the most popular light displays in St. Charles County is the Celebration of lights, located inside Fort Zumwalt Park in O'Fallon. Visitors will be dazzled by more than a million lights and holiday scenes that are put together by businesses, not-for-profit organizations and the city of O'Fallon. The scenic drive is one mile long and takes about twenty minutes. It is open Sunday through Thursday - 6:30-9pm. Friday and Saturdays it is open from 6:30-10pm. Mondays is by reservation only. The nightly cost is $9.00 for cars, $15.00 for vans, $1 per person for tour buses (with a $25.00 minimum). There are several special dates available including both train rides and carriage rides for an added cost. Call 636-379-5614 for more information.

Another very popular display in St. Charles County is located at 5200 Mexico Road, in St. Peters at the popular Rec-Plex. Beautiful light displays are scattered across the beautiful campus. Light display seekers can park their cars and walk around looking at everything, or can simply drive by and take in the thousands of lights and scenes on display.

Holiday Night Lights
Holiday Night Lights located at 2577 West Meyer Road inside Rotary Park in Foristell. This one-mile long drive features many exciting displays. Holiday Night Lights began Friday, Nov. 24 and will go through Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006. Hours are:
Sunday thru Thursday 6-9 pm, Friday and Saturday 6-10 pm. There will be no drive through on December 11 when they have a Holiday walk through. Prices are: $7 per car, $1 per person per bus or van over 7 people. For more information contact The City of Wentzville Parks and Recreation Department.

The Second Annual Lights On Main
The 2nd Annual Lights on Main street runs from November 25 - December 31, 2006. The festival of lights stretches from Boone's Lick Road up Main Street to Clark Street and includes the Foundry Art Centre area and Frontier Park. This is a walking/wandering experience and includes shopping and dining in the classic, historical setting dating from pioneer times through the Victorian period and on into the twenty first century.

Frontier Park Celebrates the Holidays
Enjoy a wonderful evening stroll through Frontier Park located in St. Charles along the Missouri River. Thousands of lights line the sidewalks and illuminate the trees along the pathways of Jaycee Stage and Lewis and Clark Monument. In addition to the wonderful celebration of the holiday season, stop by the Historic MKT Depot to view the "Coming Home for the Holidays WWII" display, which will include scenes of families gathering for the holidays. This event runs from November 22, 2006 - January 1, 2007 every evening from dusk until 1:00am.
