Christmas movies are meant to inspire the most beautiful and sincere thoughts. Like Christmas itself, these videos transmit messages of compassion, kindness, forgiveness and love. They are designed to bring the Christmas spirit in our lives. Classic Christmas movies include 'Miracle on 34th Street', 'It's a Wonderful Life' and 'A Christmas Story'. We have reviewed the best Christmas movies for you and your kids:

1. How the Grinch stole Christmas (1966)

This movie tells the story of Grinch, a nasty creature that hates Christmas and who tries hard to ruin this holiday. Grinch lives in the magical land of Whoville and steals people's presents, Christmas trees and all the goodies prepared for this special moment. In the end, he feels the spirit of Christmas and succeeds to make friends among the inhabitants of Whoville.

2. A Christmas Carol (1951)

This Christmas movie is one of the best-known film adaptations of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. On Christmas Eve, in 19th century London, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three spirits who make him understand the Christmas beauty and meaning.

3. The Polar Express (2004)

A young boy has doubts when it comes about the existence of Santa Claus. He takes a powerful magical train to Santa Claus's home. This trip teaches him that the wonders of life do not disappear as long as he believes in miracles. Thus, he receives an extraordinary gift only those who still believe in Santa can experience.

4. Jingle all the way (1996)

Harold Langston is a father obsessed by work who fails to reach the most important events in the life of his son despite the efforts he makes. On Christmas, he promises his son a Turbo Man doll. Jamie knows exactly what toy he wants so that only a few days before Christmas, Harold decides to search that toy. In his attempt to find the toy and become a hero to his son, Harold goes through all sorts of adventures.

5. Home alone (1990)

'Home alone' is the story of Kevin, an 8 years old boy who feels neglected by his family. He is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holiday season. As the man of the house, he decides to protect his house against bumbling burglars Harry and Marv, who are planning to rob every house in Kevin's suburban Chicago neighborhood. In the end, all he wants is to regain his family so they could spend Christmas together.

6. Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Miracle on 34th Street is the story of a shop manager who, around the holidays, tries to find the best Santa Claus for his store. He hires Kris Kringle, an old man claiming to be the real Santa Claus. The old man proves to be a sensation and is quickly recruited to be the store Santa at the main Macy's outlet.

7. The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974)

'The Year Without a Santa Claus' is about the year Santa Claus woke up with a cold and decided to take a vacation. Jingle Bells and Jangle Bells- two of his elves- try to convince Santa that the Christmas spirit is more important than anything else. Santa Claus feels tired and frustrated in a world where people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas.

8. The Santa Claus (1994)

On Christmas Eve, Scott Calvin, chief executive of a toy company, takes away his child from his ex wife. When Santa arrives on the roof of Scott's house, Scott scares him so much that he slips from the roof and falls. After the accident, Santa's body disappears. Thus, Scott t feels compelled to carry out the work of Santa, so he is transported around the town dropping gifts through chimneys. Later, he is informed that he is now Santa.

9. The Santa Claus 2 (2002)

Scott Calvin has been Santa Claus for the past eight years. Now he has to find a wife before Christmas in less than 28 days. Thus, he heads back home and asks for the help of his son, Charlie. Because Charlie landed on this year's "naughty" list, he must come to school with one of his parents. Accompanied by his father, Charlie enters in the director office. Although the director seems a cold woman, she actually is extremely nice and warm. In the end, she becomes the wife of Santa Claus.

10. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)

The evil Jack Frost has been making trouble, looking to take over the holiday, so that the Counsel of Legendary Figures has called an emergency meeting on Christmas Eve. Santa tries to support his wife by bringing her parents to the North Pole. Of course, he must keep the secret of the North Pole and save Christmas from Jack Frost who hatches a plan to become Santa.
