A Christmas Story (1983): Ralphie (Peter Billingsley) is a 9 year old trying to talk his parents into getting him a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. It's rated PG as appropriate for children 8 and older.

Caillou's Winter Wonders (2008): From the popular PBS animated series, 4-year-old Caillou stars in 4 episodes about how different cultures celebrate the holidays and engages in some winter fun including making paper snowflakes and snow angels.

The Christmas Dinosaur (2004): Jason is disappointed about getting a petrified dinosaur egg instead of the toy dinosaur he wanted for Christmas. When it hatches, he tries to find its home while hiding it from his own parents. This animated special is rated TV Y as appropriate for all children.

The Christmas That Almost Didn't Happen (2006): Rudolph's brother Rusty (Fred Savage) can't seem to do anything right when he tries to help Santa prepare for Christmas. Rusty runs away and joins a support group for other holiday characters where he learns the real meaning of Christmas. This animated special is rated TV Y7 as directed to children over 7.

A Tad of Christmas Cheer (2007): This animated special adapts It's A Wonderful Life for a cast of frogs. Tad is jealous of his new brother until a fairy god-bug teaches him a lesson. It's rated TV Y as appropriate for all children.

    Curtis, I agree the selection was really limited. I had to use TV specials or go into low budget horror films I didn't even want to try viewing.

    Streaming Netflix is great, but this list of Christmas movies is kinda terrible (at no fault of your own, I've looked myself. The movies just aren't there).
