Best Christmas Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Kids

Stocking Stuffers Your Kids Will Absolutely Love

Jenn C.
Every year for Christmas Santa Claus still puts together a Christmas stocking for me and I am no longer a kid but 38 years old. As a kid I couldn't wait to see what goodies filled my Christmas stocking. It was and still is a Christmas tradition that I look forward to every year. Here are some great ideas for stocking stuffers for both boys and girls.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Boys

1. Action Figures

Your son or grandson may have a favorite action figure character it could be Spiderman, Batman, Transformers, or Army figures. You can take the action figure out of it's plastic packaging and wrap it up to put in his Christmas stocking. If the action figure comes with separate items wrap them also separately.

2. Small Lego or Building Block Sets

Get your son's creativity juices flowing with a building block set, such as Lego's. They have small box sets with helicopters, boats, and even robots. They fit nicely in the stockings and Lego's has sets even for younger children of zoo animals, construction equipment such as bulldozers, and dump trucks. Your child will have fun putting these together Christmas morning.

3. Matchbox Cars

Every boy loves their matchbox cars, you can get these in trucks, police cars, racing cars, and the selection is endless. I also take these out of the packaging and put them in a small box I may have laying around the house and gift wrap it. This way they don't realize it is a matchbox car.

4. A Miniature Sports Ball

Another great stocking stuffer is a sports ball. This can be a kickball, softball, football, or even those squishy balls. Be sure to individually wrap each one.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Girls

1. Stickers

Girls love stickers and there are many to select from such as Disney Princesses, Cartoon characters, Twilight, Barbie, Hannah Montana, and even scratch and sniff ones we used to have when we were kids. Gift wrap each one and even include a sticker book in their christmas stocking.

2. Doll Clothing and Accessories

Your daughter or granddaughter may own dolls such as Barbies, American Girl Dolls, or Hannah Montana. You can buy doll accessories such as shoes, slippers, handbags, jewelry, hats and eyeglasses for the dolls you can use as stocking stuffers that you know they will love. You can also include doll clothing items that are easy to fold and wrap such as tshirts, or shorts. I also bought a plain white tee and put a small iron on transfer that you can print from your computer of Hannah Montana or Twilight.

3. Jewelry

Every girl loves jewelry no matter what age we are. Buy your daughter a necklace with her favorite animal on it, make a bracelet or buy bangle bracelets from the dollar store. With all the dress up accessories out there you are sure to find something your daughter will love.

4. Craft Kits

Another great stocking stuffer idea is for craft kits that your daughter will have fun making. One of my favorite places to buy craft kits for all ages is www.orientaltrading.com. They have kits for foam crafts to make magnets, doorhangers, ornaments, photo frames and more. For older kids they have bracelet kids with enamel charms in themes such as farm animals, girly, and holidays. What is nice about this website is they come in lots of 12, alot of times they are assorted, and individually bagged so if you have more than one child you buy stocking stuffers for you can split the bags up and wrap them with more than just one item. They are inexpensive and teaches your child something new.

Have a Merry Christmas
