Best Christmas Toys for Boys Ages 10 and Under

With so many different toys available this Christmas season, choosing a gift for a young boy can be difficult. Find out what this year's hottest toys are: Some old favorites, as well as new additions to the toy world, all geared for boys 10 and under.

Matchbox Rocky The Robot Truck. Made by Mattel. Ages 3 and up. Voted one of the best toys of 2009 by Parents Magazine. An amazing talking dump truck that speaks 100 phrases. Lights up, dances, sleeps and snores. Takes 4 C batteries.

Legos. Timeless, durable building toy. Great for coordination and imagination. Lego Duplo sets for smaller children (ages 2-5) include the Polar Zoo with arctic animals and the Duplo feeding zoo, which includes elephants, giraffes, lions and more. The Lego Playful Puppy set is for boys 5-10. Star Wars fans will enjoy the Lego Star Wars Clone Wars set, which includes firing missiles.

Zhu Zhu Pets. One of the hottest new toys in high demand, compared to the Furbies when they first came out. Mouse Trap Board Game by Hasbro. For ages 6 and up. Building the mouse trap is half the fun! Good for the entire family, teaches basic game skills of taking turns.

Candy Land Board Game by Hasbro. Excellent choice for younger boys ages 3-6. A first game that teaches the concept of taking turns, color matching.

Monopoly Board Game. Great for teaching money skills and learning about real estate through buying and selling property. For ages 8 and up, 2-8 players. What started as one basic monopoly game, now has grown into endless choices: Star Wars Monopolies, Sponge Bob Monopolies, Cat and Dog Monopolies, Monopolies named after movie stars, race track drivers, universities, cities, different hobbies, and more. Junior Monopoly is an excellent choice for ages 5-8, less complex than regular Monopoly and easier to understand.
