Best Coffee Shops in Dawlish, Devon

Dawlish is a very well-known town in South Devon. Its coastal charm attracts thousands of tourists every year, all wanting to get a taste of the seaside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. After a long morning of walking on the sand, and browsing the shops, you will probably want a nice coffee break so you can recharge your batteries. There are some wonderful coffee shops in Dawlish, and here are three of the best.

Taylor's

If you want a great cup of coffee in a relaxing environment, try Taylor's. This cozy café has large, comfortable chairs in the window so you can watch the world go by, or if you prefer you can sit further back, away from the eyes of passers-by. The service, and friendly staff make it a wonderful place to relax. Make sure you try one of their homemade cakes if you visit - they are amazing!

Too Delicious

Too Delicious is one of my personal favorite cafes in Dawlish. You won't find happier or friendlier staff anywhere else! The coffee is exquisite, and if you want to grab a bite to eat, the food is incredible too. Most of the food is locally sourced, making your dining experience truly Devonian!

Too Delicious

Tilly's Tearooms

Looking for a traditional, English tearoom experience? Tilly's is the perfect place! It has a very "prim and proper" feel to it, but not in a way that makes you uncomfortable. Quite the opposite, in fact. It is welcoming, and the staff are very polite and helpful. This is another place where you must sample the cakes. In particular, a Devon cream tea will make you feel as if you are a local!

The Witches Bowl

Don't be scared by the name of this coffee shop, it isn't frightening at all! This family run café is a popular place for both tourists and the Dawlish townspeople to congregate for a nice cup of coffee! In the summer, you should sit outside in their courtyard garden to soak up some sunshine because it really is beautiful!

All of these cafes serve great coffee, delicious food and have super friendly staff. You can barely walk five paces in Dawlish without tripping over a café, but these are by far the best in town.
