University of Nebraska at Kearney

UNK's M.S. in Biology is a flexible online degree program. It does not include a residency or a thesis requirement. This 36 credit hour program is delivered both online and through video. It covers many aspects of biology including plant biology and physiology. This program is designed for school teachers and the like, who already have a biology centered degree. The program costs a very low 207.25 per credit hour for Nebraska residents and 373.25 per credit hour for out of state residents.

Western Kentucky University

WKU offers a M.S. in Biology completely online. Their program consists of a detailed 33 credits of course work that can done during various times throughout the year. The program allows you to take a few courses until you have completed your required GRE exam in order to enter the program. You are given the option to choose from a thesis or a non thesis option in order to complete your degree. For the most part you will be required to to have completed a large amount of undergraduate work in biology, as there are many prerequisites put forth in advanced level courses. Tuition rates are about $3,600 per semester and around $8,000, which does not include course materials.

Oregon State University

OSU offers a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Wildlife. This program takes on a full 180 credit course curriculum integrating math, biology and ecology in its program. This program allows you to transfer up to 124 credits of college coursework and requires 45 credits to be completed at the university. The program offers tuition at a low cost for both residents and non-residents, at $226 per credit hour. While this program may require more course work than your average bachelor's degree program, it comes at a low rate and it can be done completely online.
