When purchasing a cruise package it's important to shop around. Go on line and see what packages are being offered. Check out a few travel agencies and see what they have to offer as well. Don't feel that you have to sign up with the first agency. Let them know you are shopping around and haven't come to a decision at this time. Travel agencies are use to people checking out the prices so don't feel pressured to sign up right away. Shopping around for the best deal can save you hundreds of dollars at times.
If you want a memorable cruise apart from the mass market cruise lines, try one of the smaller ships like: Oceana, Princess or Azamara. These are considered, "Premium Lines." The benefit of taking a smaller ship will give you a country club like atmosphere. It's a more intimate experience and feels more personable with a smaller group of people. The ratio of people to staff is much less and makes you feel catered to. For the veteran cruisers it's the only way to go!
When searching for a premium cruise line your going to want to check out the destinations offered. Each destination can be very different from the next and sometimes specials are offered at different times of the year. Be sure to ask about any specials being offered.
Check out the itineraries offered for each premium cruise to find one that meets your needs. Each ship offers a variety of activities and they can vary in differences. Make sure they offer activities that suit your interests.
With a premium cruise you are sure to have a memorable vacation of your dreams. Enjoy!
