Brenda Hoffman
As a senior who is considering taking a cruise vacation, you should make sure that you allow others to do all of the hard work for you. After all, you will want to be able to relax and enjoy the time you spend seeing the world. Fortunately, you will find a lot of cruise lines that will offer you some special perks and discounts. With this in mind, here are some of the best cruises to check out this summer.

Crystal Cruises

Crystal Cruises offer both themed and traditional cruises throughout the world, all of which cater to those who are between the ages of 50 and 75. They also make every effort possible to accommodate anyone who has special needs by making oxygen, dialysis, bed extensions, wheelchair transfers and other such equipment available. With the themed cruises you will have an expert who will provide you with instruction about such things as sports, hobbies and cultural activities both on and off of the ship.

Carnival Cruises

Crystal Cruises offers a great cruise vacation for seniors who are on a budget. They have a variety of bars, spas, lounges and entertainment available. This is also one of the few cruise lines that offers both low-fat and low-carb menu options.

Royal Caribbean Cruises

Royal Caribbean Cruises is great for seniors who like to be in shape and exercise. Since these ships are so large you will also be doing a lot of walking back and forth from activities, restaurants and casinos. There is also pools, a golf simulator, a rock climbing wall, a skating rink, a basketball court and other types of exercise facilities available.

Cunard Cruises

Cunard Cruises will give you a luxury cruise vacation. Here an elegant ship, which offers many sophisticated touches, will pamper you with ballrooms, enrichment classes and an afternoon tea with fresh baked goods.

Disney CruisesDisney Cruises are great if you want to take your grandchildren along with you. There are dozens of activities offered on this cruise vacation for people of all ages. While younger children will enjoy playing games and seeing Disney characters, you will find a lot of fun activities to do too. So, if you want to be able to enjoy your own personal vacation and be able to bond with your family at the same time, this is the perfect cruise line for you and your family to enjoy together.

A friend of mine called and wants me to consider going on a cruise with her next year. I don't know...since I can't swim, that's an awful lot of water to swallow! :)
