You can find many traces of Spanish cuisines in them but they have been enriched by the abundance of tropical fruits, vegetables and of course the crabs, lobsters and fishes. Anyone who loves cooking good food should add this cookbook for their collection. This is an exciting cookbook written by the guys from Miami (Glenn M. Lindgren, Jorge Castillo and Raul Musibay) who just love cooking Cuban cuisines and have fun at the same time. The book starts with recipes for desserts (yes, desserts '" a coconut rice pudding to be exact) and continues with recipes for the main dishes and soups. Each recipe is accompanied with a full-page mouthwatering color photographs. Many recipes are actually Spanish cuisine recipes which are smartly "Cubanized" by the three dudes. The recipes are very detailed and written in a step-by-step manner. Even the novice cook can't go wrong with this recipe book.

Memories of a Cuban Kitchen: More Than 200 Classic Recipes (ISBN-10: 0028609980)

Filled hundreds of authentic Cuban recipes this book written by Mary Urrutia Randelman and Joan Schwartz can truly be considered an ethnic cuisine cookbook. You can find more than just recipes here. The authors also share an interesting story about an immigrant family from Cuba not to mention some excellent information about the Cuban lifestyle. Though some of the recipes are clearly not for novice cooks lots of them are pretty simple. By following the straightforward instruction you can surely prepare and cook a delicious Cuban cuisine at home. Some of the recipes you should try are the black bean soup and the sandwiches (Elena ruz and pan con lechon).

Old Havana Cookbook: Cuban Recipes in Spanish and English (Bilingual Cookbooks) (ISBN-10: 0781807670)

This is really an interesting cookbook. Why? Because you can also use it to learn Spanish. It has the recipe in Spanish on one page and English on the next page. Pretty neat, huh?

There aren't too many recipes here. Just about fifty or so but they are all excellent recipes. Even though they are definitely Cuban the recipes has been adapted for the American kitchen so you shouldn't have any problem finding the ingredients nor the tools required (the recipes use mostly basic kitchen tools you'll find in any kitchen). Some of the recipes you can find are sweet potato dulce, picadillo, soft tamal, Cuban stew, etc.
