How I Made My 2008 New Year's Diet and Weight Loss Resolution Happen

I was among the many who made those New Year's resolutions to lose weight, lose fat, get healthy and get in better shape every year. And every year came and went without lasting results. When I began 2008, I knew this year had to be different. I was at the end of my rope and had even had my thyroid function tested because I just knew something more ominous had to be happening than just my inability to commit and get results.

Early in the year, I was introduced to a line of products that would change my life and get me back into those smaller sizes to stay. I have dropped from a size 16 to a size 10 and am still losing! My weight has continued to go down without the yo-yo effect I have had so many times before.

It began easily enough with the core nutrition in the Metabolic Nutrition System. I opted for the Max Appetite control formula to give me that extra edge when I would normally start craving snacks. I knew I wasn't eating right even when I was trying. I just couldn't get enough servings of what is recommended and I knew that the foods I was eating had nowhere near the nutritional value that foods once had. Everything now is grown with pesticides and sped through the process to get it to market quicker. Our foods are processed, canned and just not enough to meet all our needs.

I also started drinking the AdvoCare Meal Replacement Shakes for breakfast. I knew breakfast was an important meal but I usually skipped it because I was just too busy in the mornings. With the shakes; I had a fast, delicious, nutritious breakfast that filled me up till it was time for lunch. I opted for the chocolate, but they come in other flavors too.

I had no idea how little energy I truly had until I tried this and not only my energy level, but my ability to mentally focus went up too. I didn't exercise before, but now I was exercising and I felt great! Walking, running, weight lifting...I couldn't believe the boost it all gave me.

Not only was I more energized and losing weight, I found I was craving better foods. I no longer wanted a candy bar everyday or lots of snacks between meals. I had tried so many other ways to lose weight before and they had all failed to help me achieve permanent weight loss. Now I have found the products that I will continue to use even once I attain my goal weight, so that I can be sure to maintain it with my improved nutrition.
