Best Disney Deluxe Resorts when Staying at Walt Disney World in Florida

Where to Stay and Where to Avoid

Aimee E
As a native Floridian, I have stayed in and visited Disney's resorts many times. Some, I love, others I can't stand. Here, in order are my ranking for the best deluxe resorts when staying at Walt Disney World.

First Place - Disney's Yacht Club Resort (great for those visiting Epcot or MGM Studios, as these are accessible by boat or foot.)

Second Place - Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (kids will love the animals that are on-site, and this hotel it not as expensive as some of the other deluxe resorts.)

Third Place - Disney's Polynesian Resort (great for those that plan on visiting the Magic Kingdom or Epcot, as both are just a monorail away. In addition, the Electrical Water Pageant is another bonus.)

Honorable Mention - Disney's Wilderness Lodge (usually the same price as the Animal Kingdom Lodge, this resort offers boat access to the Magic Kingdom and a short bus ride to Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort for those interested in horse and wagon rides.)

Places I wouldn't spend my money on - Boardwalk (too noisy at night), Grand Floridian and Disney's Beach Club (both smelled a bit funny in the lobby, but for those that aren't offended by seafood smells, due to the restaurant menu, then Beach Club is ok, but Yacht Club next door is nicer.)

**Please remember these are my opinions based on my staying here. Seasons in which you visit and days of the week also influence this greatly.**
