Best Dog Parks in the St. Louis Area

Melina Ann Collison
It seems that St. Louis is more than a sports town, we are pet lovers as well. With quite a few private and public dog parks in the area it is hard to know which ones require a permit or residence card. Here is a guide to the top dog parks in St. Louis.

Frenchtown Dog Park

The Frenchtown Dog Park's goal is to provide an urban green space that offers a safe and secure environment within which residents can exercise their dogs and socialize with neighbors. With the corporation's first park opening in 2004, John and Lucille Wending Soulard Dog Park, they have received many compliments on the outcome and are trying to secure land for additional dog parks throughout St. Louis.

Dogs need proof of rabies vaccination or approved titers from a licensed veterinarian as well as a completed membership form to enter the park. There is a limit of 3 dogs per person and the park is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Please no puppies or vicious dogs. Leash laws apply outside the fenced area.
