Regular donuts sell for $.69 each or $6.49 a dozen and taste great. The aroma, when you walk in Mister Donut, lets you know all the donuts are freshly baked and are sure to delight your taste buds. Mister Donut is open from 4:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There are plenty of parking spaces and free Wi-Fi is offered for those customers who just cannot leave their laptops behind.
Schnucks Bakery, located at 2712 Godfrey Road, offers a huge selection of donuts. Baked fresh daily, the donuts come filled, glazed, iced, and some even have sprinkles. Around holidays, you may find special donuts decorated with the appropriate color holiday theme, such as orange and black sprinkles for Halloween. Cost per donut is only $.69 each. Schnucks Bakery is located at the back of Schnucks grocery store (a large building), but that does not prevent the luscious aroma of fresh baked donuts from permeating the entire facility. Although Schnucks grocery store is open 24 hours, the bakery is only open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day. Schnucks recently increased their parking lot, creating more space to accommodate their customers.
Although a small bakery, the donuts at the Sunrise Bakery are just as delicious as the ones found at the larger bakeries in the area. Sunrise Bakery is located at 504 West Delmar Avenue. Regular donuts cost $.75 each and $7.49 for a dozen. Filled donuts are priced at $.80 each and a dozen costs $8.49. Sunrise Bakery often has daily and weekly specials and is open from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Tuesdays through Sundays, and is closed on Mondays. Located in a small strip mall, there are plenty of parking spaces.
Established in 1951, Duke Bakery, Incorporate is one of the longest running and most popular bakeries in the Alton/Godfrey area. Duke Bakery has two locations, one at 8119 Henry Street in Alton, which is open daily 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and one at 5407 Godfrey Road in Godfrey, which is open daily 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. With an abundant variety of donuts, the glazed donuts are by far the most popular, being praised by patrons of all ages. Donuts cost $.79 each or $7.49 a dozen. Duke Bakery located on Henry Street is limited to street parking, but the Godfrey location provides an ample area for parking, plus free Wi-Fi.
