Best Fall Arts & Craft Fairs in Delaware County, PA

S.B.
Soon the heat of the summer will be gone and the crisp, fall air will be moving in. In the fall, my family and I enjoy walking around outdoors at fall arts and craft fairs. They are a great place to start your holiday gift shopping! If you are looking for the best fall art fairs in Delaware County, PA be sure to check out both Linvilla Orchards Johnny Appleseed Art Festival and the fall Media Super Sunday event. These two outstanding local craft fairs will be held in September.

If you have never been to Linvilla Orchards Farm, you will want to check it out for the Johhny Appleseed Art & Craft Festival. Linvilla Orchards is located at: 137 West Knowlton Road ( runs in between Rt352 & Rt452), Media, PA . Linvilla Orchards is a real working farm featuring animals, orchards and all the fresh farm products you love. They have a store, a garden center and offer seasonal activities. The Johnny Appleseed Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 & 19, 2010 - 10AM to 5PM. They also have a rain date for the following weekend which is the 25 & 26. The festival is one of Delaware County's oldest arts and craft festivals and has been occurring for over thirty years now. What I like best about this festival is that it has the arts and crafts that I enjoy, plus fun activities for the whole family. I can look at the over 100 craft booths selling art, jewelry and crafts. My husband and children can go on pony rides, visit the free animal exhibits, look at Pumpkin land and enjoy live music. There are plenty of treats to eat and drink too! It really is a festival that is appropriate for everyone in the family!

The other arts festival in Delaware County this September is Media's Super Sunday Fall event. The event is planned for Sunday, September 19, 2010 - 9:30AM to 5PM. They have a rain date the following weekend, Sunday, September 26, 2010. The event is centrally located in the heart of Media and runs along the famous state street. The event features a ton of crafts for the home as well as other odds and ends. The local eateries set up booths and sell foods outside like pizza. There are many tasty choices of things to eat. This event features a nice mix of crafts and other goods being sold. Because of that, my husband enjoys going. He always finds a booth or two selling items he is interested in.

September will be here before we know it. If you are looking for something fun to do, check out these two local arts and craft festivals. You will find some great art and your whole family will have fun too!
