Best Family Friendly Meals and Kids Eat Free Deals in Houston

We all like to take a little break from cooking, especially during the hot summer months in Houston. Better yet, we enjoying going out to eat because there is no prep time, clean up, dishes or arguing over whose turn it is to set the table or fill the dishwasher. With thousands of restaurants in the Houston area it can be hard to decide where to go to eat out, but even harder than that is how do we pay the bill for those family dining nights on the town? For this family we have found that there are some great family friendly spots with excellent kid friendly dining and even kids eat free meals and deals available. Learn our family favorites for eating out in Houston that the whole family can enjoy and that you don't need to sell your first born child to afford.

Kids Eat Free and Kid's Meal Deals Tuesday

Bennigan's kids eat free with each adult meal purchased.

Denny's Restaurants offers locations throughout the Houston area and on Tuesdays kids eat free from the kids menu during the hours of 4-10 pm with the purchase of an adult entrée.

Black Eyed Pea offers free kids meals after 5pm on Tuesdays to children 12 and under with each adult entrée purchased.

Fazoli's offers a kids meal deal on Tuesday's from 5-8 pm. Children 12 and under eat off the kid's menu for .99. (You can even drive thru and carry out).

Kids Eat Free and Kid's Meal Deals Wednesday

In the Cypress area of Houston, Capulco's located at Hwy 290 and Barker Cypress Road (281-304-0800) offers free kids meals and an indoor play area with video game console. I personally like the Saturday special on margarita's!

Jason's Deli offers to families kids 12 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée. Limit 2 meals.

Kids eat free after 4pm at James' Coney Island. It took me awhile to make a decision about which hotdog toppings I wanted but my children chose quickly from the kids menu.

Wings-n-more at 8400 Highway 6 N (281- 345-4433) offers free kids meals off the kid's menu.

Luby's offers free kids meals to ages 10 and under after 4:30pm and all day on Saturday with the purchase of an adult meal at all locations.

Rainforest Cafe offers family fun with half hour thunderstorms, animated animals, waterfalls, balloon artist and kids eat for $1.99 on Wednesday evenings.

Panda Express offers free kid's meals with adult purchase and dine in only.

Kids Eat Free and Kid's Meal Deals Thursday

In my household the weekend starts early with Kids Eat Free meals after 4pm and with the purchase of an adult menu item at Texas Borders in Katy. With huge portions and fruit substitutes at no additional charge parents can be happy. They can be even happier with the outdoor play area, sand box and two climbing structures and outdoor picnic table style dining.

All week long family friendly dining in Houston

Boston Market locations throughout the greater Houston area offers kids size portions and meals of some of your favorite home cooked items including mac and cheese, corn, green beans and roasted chicken. Kids meals are .99 every day and you can usually get a coupon for free kid's meal on your next visit.

Check out your local Chick Fil A restaurants. Kids meals are $3.00 but you can substitute fruit or salad for the fries and enjoy family friendly nights. In my area they offer them on Tuesday and Wednesday. Family events include face painting, crafts, activities, balloon art and more. Great fun for the whole family - but it's not free.

Clay's Restaurant located at 17717 Clay Rd., (281-859-3733) is an awesome place for kids with kid's menu, playground area and feeding and petting zoo. A hidden treasure in the Northwest Houston area.

Lupe Tortilla offers three locations in Houston, kid's menu and a sandpit play area for kids.

Do you wish you had won the golden coin to visit Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? If so a visit for the family to The Chocolate Bar & Candylicious will take care of any sweet tooth.

E.J.'s Pizzeria located at Barker Cypress @ 290 near Randall's, (281-373-1500) offers a small indoor play area, child size pizza's and kids meals, beer, wine and specialty pizza and pastas for the adults.

Joe's Crab Shack on HWY 290 near Bingle, (281-875-5400) and on Hwy 6 have outdoor play areas, kids menu and a place to parents to sit on the patio to watch the kids play.

Incredible Pizza, in Sugarland offers pizza buffet, drinks, video games, toddler play area, bumper cars and more with daily specials that can help your family save money.

Skeeters has several locations in the Houston area with Tex-Mex food. It offers an excellent choice of kid's menu items, coloring (complete with crayons) at the table and a small arcade area.

Families can have a fun filled day by visiting one of our local parks, playgrounds, or museums and then take time for dinner out. Or take the night off and have family night with kids eat free options, kids menu and play restaurants and even a new twist on "family game night." Best of all sometimes it's even free!

Disclaimer: Be sure to double check these offers before you go as restaurants reserve the right to discontinue or change them at any time. During my research I called another favorite to check the days of kids eat free (Cattleguard on Hwy 6) to find that "they don't do that anymore." However, each of the ones listed here are ones I have been using for years so of course they are family favorites!

    I love Houston, wish I could go back for a visit just for the amazing restaurants if anything.
