Orlando, Florida is a great family-friendly destination in Central Florida. Whether you spend your days at the area's various theme parks or at the beach, you may very well find yourself looking for a family-friendly restaurant in the evening at which you can eat. There are plenty of family restaurants in the Orlando area, but not all of them are of the same caliber. Here are some of the best family restaurants in Orlando, Florida.

In the Disney area, one of the best family restaurants is Rainforest Café. Rainforest Café offers a unique experience in which you and your family can dine amongst lifelike elephants and gorillas, which really do come to life every fifteen minutes. You will also experience a booming thunderstorm during your meal every half hour. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. It may take a while to get a table, so head over to Rainforest Café early and give the host or hostess your name. Rainforest Café has locations outside Disney's Animal Kingdom and at Downtown Disney, across from the Goofy Candy Co. Be sure to save room for dessert, because you and your family are going to want to share a Volcano.

In the Universal resort area, one of the best family restaurants can be found at Universal's City Walk. The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant & Market features shrimp, shrimp and more shrimp, as well as a variety of other selections, including steaks, sandwiches, other great seafood items, and excellent desserts. You can enjoy the atmosphere made famous in the Forrest Gump movie, and purchase a wide selection of memorabilia before or after your meal. The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant & Market is a fun dining experience for the whole family, with affordable prices, good food, and fast and friendly service.

Another great family restaurant in Orlando, Florida is Mimi's Café. With various locations in the Orlando area (including one at the Mall of Millenia), Mimi's Café is a can't-miss for a fun family dining experience. Portions are incredibly large and prices are reasonable. Mimi's Café offers signature sandwiches, great salads, half-pound burgers, seafood and pasta dishes, steaks, and seasonal specials. They also offer a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere, great service, and a full-service bar. It's also not a bad place to kick back with a few drinks and catch the big game.
