Best FarmVille Crop Guides

I was going to write an article about each of the different crops available on FarmVille. After doing quite a bit of research for this topic, I found there were a few websites that have the information set up in a far better manner than I could do this topic justice. I will list the websites like I did in the other FarmVille Best of articles I have done.

Both of the websites below not only talk about FarmVille crops, they talk about tractors and fuel costs. Some include the sizes of the farms they have, the levels they are on, and suggestions on crops to use if you can only visit your farm in spurts.

If you don't want to calculate all of the information yourself, you can use the last link to do that for each of your FarmVille Crops. Once you have done that, if you are using a spreadsheet like some are doing, you can place the information from the FarmVille Calculator into your spreadsheet.

Farmville on Facebook (math and actual plant stats)

I have visited this blog so many times in the past few days looking over the information this lady and her followers have provided, I am amazed at how knowledgeable they are. Although the last comment was posted on October 22, 2009, this blog has enough crop information and math equation possibilities that it should keep you busy figuring out profitable your FarmVille crops can be no matter what level you are on.

She provides a Farmville hour usage list and plant list with cost per plant, profit per plant, gold per hour, time to harvest, and time to wilt. If you scroll down and read through the comments, you will find some of the commenters have even provided their own math of the crops.

FarmVille: The Unofficial Strategy Guide

James Vernon provides a complete guide from getting started to other info. He provides a lot of information, but his crop and seed information isn't as thought out as it is on the website listed above. It can help you with other aspects of your crop planting that the one above can't do. Between this Unofficial FarmVille Strategy Guide and the Farmville on Facebook (math and actual plant stats), you can become one of the top crop producers on FarmVille.

His followers also provide quite a bit of tips and tricks for planting and harvesting too. You will find a few things that can help boost your time and efforts on FarmVille. I scrolled through a lot of the comments on this website. After about a quarter to half way through I stopped because there are so many of them.

One of the commenters from the website above gave the following site to help with calculating your crop information if you don't want to do the math yourself.

FarmVille Calculator

I played with this one a moment. You can calculate your ploughed fields by plant. You will use the drop down menu for the crop you are working. Once you have that chosen, you will choose how many fields you have ploughed and click the calculate button. It will show you the name of the plant, profit hours, hours until replant, and profit after replant on the left side of the page.

On the right side of the page, it will help you calculate the number of fields by plant that are at any percentage grown. With this one I chose 2 fields of strawberries at 40% grown. Once I clicked calculate, it showed the profit, total profit, and harvest time just below the equation field. You will see a chart of sorts below the section on this calculation. That chart doesn't show for the left side of the page.
