Best Fast Food Restaurant Desserts

Dana Barnett
With all of the fast food restaurants out there, the options for a quick meal seem endless. Although many people enjoy the typical burger and fries fare that fast food offers patrons, some fast food restaurants make some really great desserts. Here is a list of the fast food restaurants with the best desserts.

McDonald's

Hands down, McDonald's has the tastiest desserts and the most options for dessert. Here are my favorites:

Sundae-The McDonald's sundae comes in several flavors with or without nuts. You can get a hot fudge, caramel, or strawberry sundae, or just order it plain, as McDonald's vanilla ice cream is really good!

Vanilla Ice Cream Cone-The plain vanilla ice cream cone is simple, but delicious when you're not in the mood for a sundae, but you do want ice cream on a crunchy cone.

McFlurry-McFlurrys are made from the same vanilla ice cream as the sundaes and the cones, but they are mixed with a topping like M&Ms or Oreos. McDonald's offers several McFlurry flavors that are a great sweet treat.

Apple Pie-I just recently had an apple pie at McDonald's for the first time in about ten years. I was really surprised at how good it was! The pie was warm inside with plenty of apples and cinnamon and it was covered in a delicious crisp shell. The best part about the apple pie is that they are 2 for a dollar.

Wendy's

Wendy's is the home of one of my very favorite desserts, the Frosty. The Frosty is not quite a milkshake and not quite ice cream, but something in between. You have to eat this thick chocolate concoction with a spoon as a straw won't work. Wendy's has recently introduced a Frosty Float that consists of the same great Frosty topped with Coke, Diet Coke, or Root Beer. Whichever way you order it, the Frosty is a fast food dessert worth picking up every once in awhile.

Burger King

The fast food chain has just recently introduced a new coffee drink that I think is spectacular. The Mocha BK Joe is a combination of coffee and chocolate syrup poured over ice. It is quite refreshing and tastes almost like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee flavor.

Arby's

I can't ever pass an Arby's without imaging the taste of their Jamocha Shake. The Jamocha Shake is a frozen combination of chocolate and coffee flavors and it is great. If you like coffee and chocolate, then you will love the Jamocha Shake.

Sonic

When I think of milkshakes, Sonic immediately comes to mind. The unique fast food restaurant serves some of the most original shakes and malts around. Sonic offers shake lovers countless varieties and flavors. My favorites are the Chocolate Peanut Butter Malt and the Cookie Dough Blast.
