Best First Date Places and Locations

JR Smith
So you finally got the gulls to ask someone out. That's great, now hard part number one is officially over and you can move on to the next phase of dating: the first date. Whether it is a boy or girl that you asked out, it's probably important this date go over well if you have any interest in hooking up or connecting again. First impressions are said to be important and this is true. However, while this stage has past we are still in an early impression stage. That being said, any negative attitude, body language, or whininess that contributes to a bad vibe is going to hurt you still.

It's this fact that makes this first suggestion nonnegotiable. The best first date places to go would be somewhere you feel comfortable. There is no reason to go out to a fancy restaurant and spend that kind of money if you are ultimately going to be uptight and have a poor time. That simply isn't a good investment at all. It doesn't matter if you favorite place is the skater park or the arcade; if he or she can't have fun with you anywhere then it's time to look elsewhere for future date companions. As the saying goes there are plenty of fish in the sea, don't get overly consumed by trying to catch a single fish.

If, even after that advice, you still cannot get a good idea for a location then I do have some suggestions. First, why not a walk in the local park? This is a great option for several reason: talking and getting to know each other would be a plus and easy to do in a quiet park, you can hold hands (or awkwardly shun each other whichever you choose), and you can hold an option for further engagement later in the day. Best of all it's free to do. It only requires emotional payment which you should be able to cover.

Whatever choice you make, let me ask you to not take that special someone to a restaurant. This is simply to cliché and common. That special adjective wouldn't be to appropriate if you are being cliché. Let that person get to know you by doing things you normally do. This sounds counterintuitive but it is far more powerful and emotionally meaningful to be brought into someone's life then to be kept at a distance from it.
