Resistance 2 (PS3) - Sony's sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man really nailed all points that needed fixing. You fight tons of crazy creatures with some pretty insane guns. The game is improved in all facets from the first with a longer campaign and multiplayer that allows up to 60 players without lag.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3/Xbox 360) -Modern Warfare may be the best FPS ever. The campaign is fun and exciting accompanied with a great story. The main campaign does suffer in length, but this is more than made up with the incredible online play. COD4 offers the best online multiplayer of any game on the market that will have you wasting days leveling up and unlocking new guns and perks.
Halo 3 (Xbox 360) - The infamous Halo series is back with a new version for the Xbox 360. Halo 3 brings the same great gameplay and the usual addicting online multiplayer. Fans of the series certainly won't be disappointed in what has become one of the best selling console games of all time.
BioShock (PS3/Xbox 360) - If you like a darker story when playing your first person shooters, then BioShock is for you. The story takes place in an absolutely beautiful, but destroyed, undersea world. The plot is fantastic with some pretty interesting decisions that you get to make along the way. BioShock 2 comes out in November 2009, so be sure to get your hands on a copy of the original before checking out the sequel.
Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360) - This is probably the most fun zombie killing game ever. When first purchasing the game you may feel like you're not getting your money's worth because of the lack of a real single player campaign, but once delving into the multiplayer you'll quickly realize that this game has endless value. You'll find yourself online with a few friends or strangers battling wave after wave of crazy zombies with various guns and some pretty cool melee weapons. The hours fly by with this addicting FPS zombie slaying game. Left 4 Dead 2 hits store November 2009.

Post a CommentThe Call of Duty series is one of the worst first-person shooter games made. First-shooter games made now are all pray-n-spray games that are void of any strategy. The same goes for the Battlefield series. The masses like these games because the masses are made up of pot smoking morons incapable of employing strategy and team-play. The best first-shooter game made was Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm for PS2. Unlike the games now this game you had to use your brain and actually had to aim at your target. There is no silly drifting characters or moronic 4 foot leaps. It also was refreshingly without the lame vehicles and absurd weapons which pinheads enjoy, but intelligent players dislike.
