MyNetDiary ($9.99)
The MyNetDiary, designed for the iPad, promotes some of the best weight management and fitness tools to date. The application provides nutrient information for over 100,000 foods in their own database, and over 80,000 in the optional user-generated database. The display screen makes it easy to input foods from breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks with complete calorie and nutrition facts. Not only does the app give tell you how many calories you consumed throughout the day, but also has a section for exercise. You simply input the exercise and how long you performed it and the program tells you how many calories you burned. Overall, we really liked this app because it provides complete personal diet information, a great foods library, ease of use, and an easy to use exercise input display.
Navy SEAL Fitness ($1.99)
Like many of my readers, I find it hard to discover new exercises in an easy to read format. I tend to stick to my usual weight listing routine with about 30 to 40 minutes of cardio. However, with the Navy SEAL Fitness app, you can learn all about various exercises, equipment and many do at home exercises. This app made the top of our list because it gives a detailed picture and description of every exercise it lists, and because of the immense fitness knowledge offered. For anyone with self-motivation, this app is an excellent way to train like the pros.
iFitness ($1.99)
If you are looking for an all-in-one fitness app, then iFitness is the right choice for you. With more than 100 exercises, the iFitness app gives detailed pictures of each exercise. You can even log your workout and routine for more effective training. Our favorite features were on the screen where you can select a muscle group and the app gives you specific exercises for that muscle group, and graph that displays your workout routine. Seeing the numbers on the graph makes it easy to want to step up and beat your previous weeks exercise goals.
Total Body Workout ($2.99)
This new app to the apps store is excellent for anyone who needs video to understand an exercise. This app designed for the iPad, iPhone and iTouch features over eight workouts with full videos by instructors. We liked the video feature because often time's pictures of exercises are hard to follow for beginners.
iBJJ ($3.99)
BJJ or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is becoming a popular style of martial arts in America. The iBJJ app, features many popular offensive and defensive fighting techniques. This application made our list because BJJ is an excellent form of exercise, and with this app for the iPhone or iPad you can practice moves almost anywhere.
