Turtle Island is an all-inclusive Fiji resort located on Nanuya Levu in the Yasawa Island chain. Like many island resorts, Turtle Island is not your glitzy mainland hotel. Occupants stay in their own private villa, or bure, and contrary to popular opinion, yes, there is running water. Not only that, but these private accommodations seat you in the lap of luxury.

We're back to the bures as far as accommodations are concerned at the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort. But like Turtle Island's villas, they're hardly shabby. With spacious living areas and king-size beds ensconced beneath the signature thatched roofs of a South Pacific resort, along with private hot tubs or plunge pools, you'll have little to complain about.

Reservations at the Jean-Michel Cousteau are partially inclusive. Mixed drinks are excluded as are massage and spa services. However, they do offer a free nanny for child care, so if you're traveling with small children, it's something to think about. They also offer family packages that include free activities such as island excursions, snorkeling, tennis and transportation.

Those traveling as a couple or with older children can take advantage of the dive packages if they want to go scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking or sailing. This package also takes care of all your meals and most beverages.
