Best Flowers for a Fall Wedding

The transition from summer to fall is one of my favorite times of the year. For me that transition is more than just a cooling in the air. It represents the warmth of nature. Every year as leaves change from green to vibrant colors of red and orange women walk down the aisle and make that transition from single life to married life. Fall is one of the most popular seasons for weddings and with all the beautiful flowers available during fall it's easy to find arrangements and bouquets to suit any wedding.

Sometimes one of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding is deciding on what flowers to use for decorating the church and reception hall as well as what flowers to use for the bridal party bouquets and the boutonnieres for the groomsmen. Flowers can cost the bride or her parents a small fortune so one thing that all brides must consider is using flowers that are in season during the time of year their wedding will take place. For women having a fall wedding there are a wide variety of blooms in season during this time of the year. Some popular flowers for weddings during the fall are Chrysanthemum, Dahlia, Zinnia, Aster, Lily, Hydrangea, Sunflower, and of course roses.

Since fall is all about the bright colors in the leaves wedding flowers for a fall wedding should complement this color scheme. If you are planning a fall wedding look for flowers that come in vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. Complement these bright tones with a few white or peach colored flowers as accents. Depending on the formality of the wedding bridal bouquets and floral arrangements can either be very complicated or very simple. Most women tend to go toward a bouquet of deeply colored roses for their bouquets however if you want something simple try a simple bouquet of daisies and zinnias. This could be exchanged for a simple cutting of lilies that included red, orange, and even purple blooms. Any fall bouquets and arrangements can be embellished with fall leaves if you want a more traditional look. Perhaps traditional white roses accented with red, orange, and yellow colored leaves are more your style.

Whatever that style may be there are plenty of choices for a fall wedding. There are many options for purchasing flowers for your fall wedding. Online retailers such as Budget Bride can provide many options for fall wedding themes. This retailer uses silk flowers to handcraft dozens of different designs. Brides can also purchase attendants bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and table center pieces from this site. In addition budget bride will add ribbons or other accent items to your bouquets at your request. To view their selection of fall arrangements visit them at www.budgetbride.com. Bouquets on average from this site will cost between $50 and $100.

Brides wishing to have live flowers for their fall weddings should check with their local florists for prices and availability of flowers. Depending on the city and the type of flowers chosen arrangements and bouquets can range from only a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Another idea for fall brides is to design their own arrangements using artificial flowers. This may save some cost and will allow brides to have control over how the flowers are presented. Craft stores such as Michael's and Hobby Lobby have people on staff who can assist you in finding that perfect combination for your fall wedding.
