Best Foundation for Oily Skin Under $15: A Personal Review

Sabrina Martin
This article is a review of three liquid foundations I've tried that I think are the best foundations for oily skin under $15.00. I've tried many different brands of foundation for oily skin. Most of those foundations did not deliver what they promised. I'd end up with a shiny face within a couple hours.

The three foundations listed in this article are listed in descending order, from good to best. If you're looking for the best foundation for oily skin hopefully you'll find what you're looking for in one of these foundations.

Best foundation for oily skin: Maybelline Pure Makeup liquid foundation - Good -

Maybelline Pure Makeup liquid foundation is the foundation I tried most recently. It comes in a small tube and is available in various light, medium, and dark shades for any skin tone.

I found Maybelline Pure Makeup to be light weight. It's almost like a creamy mousse. When first applied to the face the skin does not absorb it immediately, which makes it very easy to blend evenly.

At first it seems the color is too dark, but once it has been blended completely you can't tell you're wearing foundation. The foundation dries well and does not rub off.

The reason I rate Maybelline Pure Makeup as good instead of the best foundation for oily skin is because it doesn't maintain its oil free coverage for as long as the other foundations mentioned in this article. Maybelline Pure Makeup stays dry and looking great for about four hours. After wearing it for that long, it touches up well, by blotting the face and adding a little powder.

Best foundation for oily skin: Avon Ideal Shade liquid foundation with SPF 10 - Better -

In the past I've used Avon Ideal Shade Liquid Foundation. I really like this foundation because it doesn't take much to achieve full coverage and it lasts for hours without looking oily. I can wear this foundation without having to apply powder and it still looks dry and fresh. Because so little is needed this foundation lasts for a very long time.

Another thing that makes this foundation so good is that Avon often has it on special so you can get it at a very low price. In addition to being one of the best foundations for oily skin, this foundation makes my skin look brighter. The only reason I rate this foundation better instead of best foundation for oily skin is because the next one manages to last even longer and never seems to lose its oil free appearance.

Best foundation for oily skin: Revlon ColorStay Makeup with Soft Flex for Combination/Oily Skin - Best -

For me this is the best foundation for oily skin. It has a creamy texture and blends in with my skin tone perfectly. I can wear this foundation all day without it losing its oil free look. I have even fell asleep with this foundation on and woken up with an oil free face.

This makeup does not require re application, and I've never had to touch it up when wearing it. Even in the heat and humidity it stays dry and oil free. For me, this is the best foundation for oily skin.

Hi thank you for the post by the way. I had a question but im not so sure if you still check back on this website anymore, anyways i was wondering if you have used "no7 intelligent balance mousse foundation" before and if you still would choose the revlon foundation over the no7 brand. I was recently at a target store and they had a person there that helps you choose your foundation color and stuff and she recommended the no7 brand for my oily skin. She applied some on my face but it seemed really cakey and my face looked like it had turned a slight gray, she had said it was my perfect color, but i don't know if she was just trying to sell me something or if it was the truth. im not sure if she applied too much on me and the color didn't have enough time to blend in. but i have seen some really good reviews on the no7 brand. Thanks in advance
