Stadium-Inspired Super Bowl Party Snacks #1: Pigskins in a Blanket Topped with Chili and Cheese
Chili cheese dogs are a popular choice for many stadium goers. These bite-sized chili cheese dogs are sure to be a hit with your Super Bowl party guests!
Ingredients:
16 ounce package small hotdogs or cocktail smoked sausages (approximately 48)
2 cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls dough
2 (10 ½ oz.) cans beanless chili
Shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Unroll the cans of dough. Separate the triangles (should be 16 of them). Cut each triangle lengthwise, dividing it into three thin ones. Lay the small hotdog or sausage on the shortest side of the triangle and roll to the opposite point. Place each one an ungreased cookie sheet with the point side down. Bake the pigskins in a blanket until golden brown, about 12 minutes. While they are baking, warm the chili over the stove. Before serving, top each pigskin in a blanket with a scoop of chili and sprinkle it with cheddar cheese. Serve these warm to your Super Bowl party guests.
Stadium-Inspired Super Bowl Party Snacks #2: Boneless Hot Wings Bites
Chicken wings are another favorite with sports lovers. These boneless hot wings bites allow your guests to enjoy the spicy treat and munch with less mess.
Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
2 eggs
2 cups milk
2 cups flour
1 1/3 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ cup Frank's red hot sauce (or hot sauce of your choice)
2 tablespoons margarine
Oil for frying
Directions:
Preheat oil in a fryer at 375 degrees. Combine flour and all the spices in a medium bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Chop the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Dip a few pieces at a time in the egg-milk mixture, and then roll them in the flour mixture until coated. Fry them for approximately 5 to 6 minutes. While the chicken pieces are frying, mix the hot sauce and margarine and heat in the microwave until completely melted. Stir well and place in a container or plastic bag that seals tight. Blot the excess oil from the chicken and shake them with the sauce until completely covered. Arrange the boneless hot wings on a platter with sliced celery on the side and offer your party guests blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping. This recipe serves 6-8.
*Note: These boneless hot wings bites can also be baked, instead of fried. Coat with the flour mixture and bake in 400 degree oven until halfway cooked. Cover with the hot sauce and bake again until done. Time will vary depending on the size and quantity used.
Stadium-Inspired Super Bowl Party Snacks #3: Chili-Cheese Dip and Chips
This spicy dip and chips combo is a delicious take-off from the concession stand snack, nachos and cheese.
Ingredients:
2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans chili (without beans)
1 lb. soft American cheese, cut into cubes
1 (10 oz.) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
Sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Black olives
Directions:
Heat the chili and add the cheese. Heat only until melted. Stir in tomatoes and green chilies. Spread the mixture into a pie plate or other low serving dish. Add a layer of sour cream. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Garnish the top with black olives. Serve this dip with tortilla chips or corn chips. You may need to double this recipe, depending on the number of guests attending your Super Bowl party.
Stadium-Inspired Super Bowl Party Snacks #4: Foot Long Pizzas
Pizza and watching football games go hand-in-hand, so this quick and easy recipe is a must have for any Super Bowl party.
Ingredients:
3 loaves of French bread (adjust depending on number of party guests)
¾ cup melted butter
6 cups pizza sauce
6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Meat (such as pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, ham) and vegetables (like onions, green and red peppers, olives, mushrooms) of your choice
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Slice the loaf in half lengthwise and place the pieces cut side up on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Brush them lightly with the melted butter and bake until lightly brown, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread the pizza sauce on the slices. Top with your choice of meats and vegetable. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake the pizzas for another 8 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Slice into 4 inch sections and lined them on a serving tray still in the shape of the loaf.
