Speaking of Left 4 Dead, this fun little title is inspired by the awesome Valve co-op game. The 4k signifies that the entire game takes up less than 4kb of memory, which is pretty impressive once you see what it has to offer. If you are already a L4D fan, you will likely appreciate L4KD: it is simple to pick up but difficult to master, just like Left 4 Dead and just about every Valve game.
Urban Dead has been around for a long time now. The graphics are simplistic at best, but it remains the closest any of us can currently get to a zombie MMORPG. How great would that be, by the way? To have a giant, persistent world where throngs of player-controlled survivors battle hordes of player-controlled zombies? Well, you can at least get a 2-dimensional taste of that action in Urban Dead. The game has forged such a community over the years that an extensive Wiki is available for your perusal.
Since I mentioned this one in my 5 Highly Creative and Fun Flash Games article, I won't go into too much detail. You are able to move freely behind a makeshift barricade and must take down zombies before they break through. It is pretty hard to top the professional detail put into this game, so check it out.
Everybody loves Boxhead! This one has an isometric, 3D, polygonal appearance that is truly unique. There are also plenty of creative weapons and upgrades to keep you interested. Boxhead is great because it has an arcade feel to it, but the amount of options and statistics it has available make it much more interesting than your run-of-the-mill arcade game. If all that doesn't keep you coming back for more, maybe the zombies which you can gleefully take down in numerous ways will.
Another zombie RPG, though this one is single-player and far more cinematic than Urban Dead. It chronicles the journey of a man who is being hunted down as he morphs into a zombie. Your zombie transformation is the central theme here, which is obviously pretty cool, but expect to see many other strange twists and turns in the plot. Unlike Last Stand 2 which is very much a stand-alone title, you may need to play the original Sonny before you can really get into this sequel.
