The first set of tips has to do with pre-planning. First of all, collect the circulars. Get every ad from every store you intend to go to. Actually sit down and compare. Think about whom you are buying for and make a list. Second, plan a budget and intend to stick with it. Look at your list think about what you are going to buy and plan to buy the item at the store with the lowest price. Only bring the amount you need and one check. This way you can bail you self-out for a small amount of over spending. However, set the amount you will allow yourself as back up as well. Third, look online. Sometimes the items you intend to get are online for cheaper than at the stores themselves. For example, www.Walmart.com often offers special buys on things purchased online and in some cases they even offer things not carried at the stores themselves. Also, check www.ebay.com. There is a wonderful selection of hard to find things for real cheap. You just may find yourself buying a unique gift for less. These savings could save you on blitz by eliminated items shopped for.
The second step of tips has to do with preparing yourself. Fourth, Get plenty of sleep the night before. Always give your mind the appropriate rest before a big event like this. You want your mind to be alert and prepared to follow your plan and grab your bargains. Fifth, eat before you go. It is hard to pay attention to the details if your stomach is growling. You can't even think savings when you're darting to the next food counter to stop hunger pains. Sixth, plot a course. Go to the stores you need to in an order. Organizing your trip will prove less stressful for the driver.
My last set of tips has to do with the day. Tip number seven is get there early. Chances are there are other people just like you trying to get the best bargain. All the best prices leave with the early customers so don't be late. Eighth, use layaway where available. Sometime making small payments is a lot easier on the budget than trying to for over a couple hundred now. Ninth, get only what you are after. Grabbing impulse items or more than you need is a sure-fire way to put you into the poor house. Don't forget the list you made and the pre planning steps you took to keep yourself on track. Finally, number ten. While at Wal-Mart, get a gift card. This card can save you three cents a gallon on gas and after running around your going to need gas.
In closing, if you follow these steps you are sure to spend less, be less stressed, and get home with a feeling of success instead of dread for that credit card statement. Sometime the best way to save is to plan. Good luck and happy deal hunting.
