Best Friday-After-Thanksgiving Sales in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Neighborhood: City-Wide
Oklahoma City, OK 73115
The day after Thanksgiving has been called "Black Friday", because it puts retailers in the black for the year, and can pick up their overall sales for the entire year. And it's no wonder. Many families anxiously await the Thanksgiving Day sales ads, trying to discover which stores offer the best sales, and which ones should be visited first. Here are the top ten suggestions for finding the day-after-Thanksgiving Day bargains. For stores where there is more than one location within the city, check the sale ad or phone book for the location nearest you. For all stores where there is only one location, the address will be provided. Normal store hours are listed, but check your newspaper sale ads for special holiday hours. These are when the best sales typically occur, and they may be limited to certain hours.

Best Buy- Best Buy typically offers the best deals in electronics, movies, music, and gaming, but they also have appliances and office furniture at most locations. It is because of this selection and their fantastic day after Thanksgiving day deals that make it the first stop for many people in OKC. Out of all the stores, this is the one that usually has something worth getting up early and standing in line. There are four locations throughout OKC and Norman. Check the phone book to find the nearest one. Their regular store hours are 10-10 Monday through Saturday, and 10-8 on Sunday, but they are always open early the day after Thanksgiving. Check your sale ads for the specific time.

Walmart- Walmart's typically offers some fantastic deals on toys and home furnishings, making it an excellent place to stop on "Black Friday". They are closed Thanksgiving Day, but open early the next day. Again, you should check the sales ad for their holiday hours. After they reopen early, they are open 24 hours a day until Christmas. Check your phone book for the location nearest you, because the locations are too numerous to mention.

JCPenney- JCPenney has a good selection of clothing and housewares, and their "Doorbuster Deals" are worth making the trip to save money. Because the registers are scattered throughout the store, you may be able to get in and out of this store more quickly than other stores. They are best visited about 9-10am, after you have hit the other sales that have bargains you can't miss. There are four stores in the OKC metro area, with one at Penn Square Mall, Crossroads Mall, Quail Springs, and one at Sooner Fashion Mall in Norman. Their normal hours are 10-9 Monday through Saturday, and their Sunday hours vary by store location. They typically open early the day after Thanksgiving, but not as early as some other stores. Check your sales ad on Thanksgiving for holiday hours.

CompUSA- CompUSA is a computer store that is focused on providing great deals on work computers and educational or computing software. They do not specialize in gaming computers or software, and if your list includes games or gaming systems, you will have better luck at Best Buy. They typically have incredible deals on computers the day after Thanksgiving, and some of their deals are hard for any competitor to beat. If you are looking for computer memory or hard drives, this is the place to shop. They are located at 6410 N. May Avenue, and their hours are 10-9 weekdays, 9-9 on Saturdays, and 11-6 on Sundays. They also tend to open earlier than their normal hours, but not as early as some stores.

ToysRUs- ToysRUs cannot be missed if you have a child on your shopping list. The store tends to have some good deals, but its main selling point is that you can find all the toys you need at one location, rather than driving all over town to get a few toys here and there. They have three locations; 1119 SE 66th St., 2121 NW 138th St., and 560 Ed Noble Parkway in Norman. Check the sales ad for their holiday hours, otherwise, their hours are 10-9 Monday through Saturday, and 11-7 on Sundays.

Quail Springs Mall- Malls are one of the best places to complete your holiday shopping, and Quail Springs Mall is a nice mall to do it in. They offer a wide variety of stores so that you can find something for everyone on your list, and because many of the stores are smaller, so are their lines. Quail Springs Mall is located at 2501 West Memorial Road, and they are open on the 24th from 6 to 10.

Home Depot- Home Depot has much more than just home improvement items. They also offer major appliances and Christmas decorations. They are better to visit in the late morning or early afternoon. Their store hours vary, and their locations are too numerous to mention. Check your sales ad and phone book to find out the holiday hours and location of their nearest store.

Garden Ridge Pottery- Garden Ridge Pottery is unique because you can access their "day after Thanksgiving" sales before the day after Thanksgiving. They are actually open on Thanksgiving, which is nice because it gives you a chance to get out of the house on Thanksgiving. They offer decorations and some kitchen items at this store. The downside of this store is that their lines are extremely long since everyone wants out of the house on Thanksgiving. They are located at I-40 at MacArthur. Call for their store hours.

Sears- Sears is a great department store to shop at for holiday bargains. Their lines are short, and there are register area s throughout the store. They carry Craftsman tools and Kenmore appliances, which are certain to bring a smile to an adult's face on Christmas morning. There are three locations in Oklahoma City. One at Heritage Park Mall in Midwest City, one at Quail Springs Mall, and one at 4400 S Western Ave. Call each store or check the ad for their hours.

Hobby Lobby- Hobby Lobby is one of the best places to shop for decorations. They have lots of Christmas decorations, and even things that you can make on your own. There are several locations throughout Oklahoma City, so check the phone book for the nearest location and their hours.
